Happy Friday!

I was just talking to the CEO here at the office. He had a sheepie when he was a kid and loved her to death. Unfortunately, his wife is allergic to dogs and he's sheepieless now.

I was trying to cheer him up by telling him about six sheepies and three women (so far) camping in September. Then I told him about how cute Bentley is now that he's grown out a little and fresh from the groomer.

Next thing I hear - "Bring him in tomorrow."

I can just see Bentley charging down the hallway and peering in everyone's office. He wouldn't be quiet, he'd have to make his presence known to everyone.

Still - I was TOLD to do it by the CEO, right?!?!

You HAVE to dress him up for St. PAtti's day!!!
How FUN Jil~~ You MUST do it!!

Bentley would be in sheepie heaven!!

I used to bring Beau & Gen with me all the time. Not so much since they've learned to behave at home. Don't wanna jinx myself...been down that road! 8)
Oh boy. This is gonna be good...

This might be the only time where his unexplained barking could come in handy. You might wind up with an unplanned day off when they make you take him home! Lol. I'm sure he'll be fine and have a fun day.
Yeah a Bentley office day!!!!

You HAVE to do this!!! What a riot it will be! Don't forget your camera - we want pictures!!!!

Chris
I can't wait to hear the report and SEE THE PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess that guy across the hall won't be sleeping tomorrow!

Oooo, and it's tax time too!!

Tell him to be on his best behavior and maybe you can bring him back everyday. That's what I did at my last real job with our old dog Newman and he became a regular fixture in the office.

Maybe you can drug him first??
You've got to do it - your day (week, month) would be absolutely made, and the office would look at you with a lot of respect, I think!!!
How fun!! Can't wait for stories. This should be quite something!!
Jil, I think we need video of this :) I hope this man's aware that Bentley's legs are so long it appears that he's on stilts 8O Jill and I expect a full report on Saturday  He'll be the hit of the office, and you must have a pretty cool boss.
You have to do it. What could be more fun than that?
What does this mean?

I'll tell ya what this means....

SERIOUS BATHING AND/OR BRUSHING TONIGHT!
I've been grinning about this all afternoon! What's better than showing off your sheepie, LOL!

Fortunately, he was just at the groomer on Monday and he still smells sweet and looks fluffy! I just spent 30 minutes on him with the Resco and now we're on to the pin brush for added floof. :) I think he knows something special is going to happen, this is the calmest he's ever been for grooming; he even let me do his front legs!

Video is a good idea, Holly!

I wonder what MY boss is going to think about this . . . hey, maybe Bentley will keep him out of my office!!!
Was he drunk when he suggested it? Why do I have this feeling that you're going to walk in with Boo in the morning and he's going to be like "What the @#$% is this dog doing here?"
So video and popcorn Saturday at 11 :D Have fun Bentley, you can brag to Rosco and Clyde about your adventure at work
LOL, he was having a bad day and he's going to the dentist tomorrow.

I don't care though.

I get to show off my sheepie!!
Can't wait to hear about your adventure tomorrow! I think he needs some shamrocks on his head or something for St. Patty's day. :)
I've always thought they should have a "Take your dog to work day"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is so cool! I would love to take all of mine to work. LOL I did take Sky to work once, just outside, because our handling classes were a few doors away from my office in the outdoor plaza. My boss was standing outside and all he could do was smile and laugh. He rarely does that. LOL
They do have a take your dog to work day, it's in June. I think it's sponsored by the humane society. We printed out all of the literature on it and all the reasons animals help people and still no go. Maybe this year!
Can't wait to hear from Jil this morning!! 8)

Yeah Bentley! :high5:
Dang - busted by the building Nazis!

I was three feet from the elevator and the security guard started shouting at us from down the hall - No Pets, No Pets! He wouldn't come any closer, LOL.

So Bentley's at home, all floofed up and no where to go, and I'm here and I've already had several people ask where he is.

I need a new job.
:x :x SILLY RULES!!! :x :x

Poor Bentley....I'll be he's disappointed!! :(

Poor Jil....what a let down! :( I recommend taking the afternoon off. Didn't you say the boss was away??
Ha, one of the guys here said the next time he'll distract the guards by falling down and screaming so I can sneak Boo in!

A tiny part of me is relieved, I'd have to take him with me everywhere, copy machine, postage meter, to file stuff, the bathroom . . . and there's not enough room for both of us in a stall so he'd have to stay outsidethe stall and I was picturing someone coming in and there is Boo. Unless you belong to this group you usually don't expect a Bentley in the bathroom. 8O
  That's true! I had a good laugh at the image of someone walking in and seeing him sitting there, minding the stall...
Ah, I'm sad!

Do you think Bentley would have tried to come under the stall?

You should have brought a cane with you and told the guards he was your seeing eye sheepie (which would be hilarious if his fur covered his eyes!)

It definitely would have made Friday more interesting...
aww, darn security people. I'm sorry it didn't work out.
You went about this all wrong, Jil. You should've brought him in on a harness and when they stopped you, he was your "helper dog." You have panic attacks that only the dog can sense and do they want to be responsible for a trip to the hospital? In fact, you feel one coming on right now...

I've been planning this for awhile so I could bring Clyde in, but our building Nazi is right in my office and knows me too well. :(
The CEO just showed up at my door and now he's disappointed. He did say to bring Boo to the company picnic though.

LOL - his hair IS over his eyes! I should have tried that line.

Jill, why didn't you mention this YESTERDAY . . . :?
Planning people, planning!! I'll send you Carl's spare harness for the next trial run.

The CEO?
Bentley as a service dog!! Good idea!! :D
Yup - it was the CEO who wanted me to bring in Boo!

So when I was bringing him in this morning, one of the guys in the office was walking past and when he saw Bentley his eyes got really big, it was rather humorous.

I sent him a message - Busted by the building Nazis!! Bummer - it would have been a fun day!

This is what he sent back: that thing was huge...i thought you were trying to bring in a bear :)

I look forward to Beaureguard & Bentley getting together!
Hi,

Awww drat....plans were foiled and I was so looking forward to hearing of Bentley's day at the office.

Hey you might think about putting one of those vest on him next time...say he's a dog in training. They have laws regarding they are allowed access everywhere!

Grrr the security guard.....

Marianne and the boys
I saw our reflection in the glass doors as we were entering the building - he does come up to my hip and the longer his fur gets, the wider he looks!

I was actually quite amazed. 8O

This camping trip is going to ROCK!
We ordered pizza while we were baby-sitting Bentley last weekend and the guy looked in the house, saw all 3 dogs and said, "Oh, my God, are those bears?" and he jumped off the porch. Oddly, it was easier to keep all 3 of them away from the door than when I have my normal two. FIgure that one out!
That is hilarious!

Yeah, Dude, I have bears in my house - wanna come in and play with 'em?
Bummer!! What a trip he would have been in the office!!

Isn't it hysterical how afraid of our big dogs most people seem to be?? 8O Although it IS good, sometimes!

I know! People are so amazed at how big Louie is. To me he's not that big. I mean we had a Lab that was the same size. (And Louie is much gentler than him. plus no leathal tail.)
I've always wanted a pet bear. 8)
We always had big dogs growing up so they don't seem big to me at all. Heck, Clyde and Bentley are both under 100 pounds (not by much, but still!) but the way people react, you'd think they really thought they were HUGE. Lucy's only 55 pounds but when I take the two of them out together, people still say "Look at those big dogs." Then again, the fur adds so much girth!

I wish I had my own panda bear.

lol, we had cable installed yesterday and put in a cable modem. Well, the guys made me kennel Jasper before they would even walk in the house. He's just a huge baby - he wouldn't bite anyone. :) Poor thing had to stay kenneled for 2 hours though - he was NOT happy.

Yeah, Louie is under 100 pounds and by reactions you'd think he was Clifford (the Big Red Dog).

The mailman came to the door one day and made me come outside to sign. He was scared of Louie (who was behind a barrior). I think it was because Louie was barking and he does have a deep bark. But still...
What a dissappointment!!!!!!!!!! I think you should have told the gguard he was a "therapy dog" in training

That's exactly what my nephew called Beaureguard for the longest time. Every time he saw him, Beau had gotten bigger, so he'd say "He's just like CLifford...he keeps growing...and growing...and growing.."
Darn, I was really looking forward to hearing of Bentley's adventures at the office.... Hey that would make a good book title!
Oh well :(

I'm bummed too. Maybe next time.
I'm so disappointed. That was going to be a great story. So you had to take him all the way back home and then go back to work?
