re taking dogs places in uk

we are quite lucky here the Rac and AA do books with that actually tell you about pet friendly hotels campsites and pubs, also I have a cottage brochure which tells me were I can take dougal I have rented a cottage in the derbyshire hills for a week in May, 12 cottages in the village 2 pubs. the pub next door to the cottage says no problem to take dougal in. Loads of great walks, streams for dougal to go in. lots of hills and woodland.
