Big Brother Watching
I'm wondering who's paid for this and what they're being used for? I also don't like that there is very little privacy any more. Everything you do is tracked. Grocery store, bank account, retail store. They all want your information and keep tabs on every purchase. I find this very disturbing. |

I find that disturbing also, equally disturbing is how much personal information is being thrown in dumpsters or stolen in huge amounts like the Citibank incident that happened recently. |
| About big brother:
Big Brother is double plus ungood. About information security: Our wonderful newspaper, The Boston Globe uses scrap paper to wrap their newspaper for delivery to the "carrier", in our suburban case a lady who drives her car around every morning, or to the retail store. They apparently get the scrap paper from their offices' recycling bins among other places. Someone in the Globe's offices "accidentally" ran a report that "accidentally" printed out all of the Globe's customers with all of their info: Names, addresses, full credit card numbers or bank account info, etc. That paper of 200,000+ accounts (That would be about 4,000 sheets of paper) made it into the recycle bin, and wound up wrapping the newspaper bundles. Their solution? Watch your account for suspicious behavior, and if you're concerned, get a new credit card or checking account. |
