Teaching Annie my Old English Sheep Dog to eat in one place

I DID IT!!! I have successfully taught Annie to only chew a beef marrow bone on the area rug in front of the front door. It really didn't take too long to teach my almost 9 yr old pooch to do this. The beef marrow bones are new for us and she kept taking it to the tresure room (living room with carpeting). I don't like the idea of having raw meat stuck in my carpet so I followed her around everywhere and kept making her get up and move to the area rug. Well, night before last I gave Annie a new bone. She only tried once to go to the carpet and then stayed on the little rug! Last night she went straight to the area rug for an hour! I'm so proud of myself that I need to pat my own back! Just thinking about it I'm getting excited! I'm so silly!

Now Annie can eat her bone in peace without Mommy's interruptions!

YAY Annie  Clever mommy. OK now you can come and teach my girls too
Hooray Annie! What a good girl! :clappurple:

I know what you mean about being excited. I get a little positive charge every time Chummie takes her bone and trots off to the dog bed with it. Maggie dives into her crate for hers.

This calls for more marrow bones for Annie!
Gooooo Annie.....and nice job Stacy!
It's so hilarious how we get so excited  Maybe you could come to MI and teach Luke how to not take his dinner in the living room to eat .
GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!! Hurray for both of you!
Good job Stacy! :clappurple: WTG Annie!! :high5:
Yeah! Cheers to teaching an old dog new tricks! :D
That's great. Now mommy and doggy will be happy!
Stacy,
Great job teaching Annie. Do you think you could teach Rags while your here? I've been trying to teach them to keep their bones outside.
I had just cleaned the carpeting (cleaning where she had come inside and chewed on her bone) and Billy left the back door open.
As I was cleaning the carpeting Rags sat down behind me with her bone, chewing on the raw meat on the carpeting....
When I turned an saw her, she got an earful from me. She just stared wide eyed and got up and left the bone there
I charge by the number of times I need to get up from what I'm doing and chase the dog onto the rug :D
lol
