Talking dog!!!

I know i sound like a crazy person, but my OES can talk. Anyone else have a talking dog? He asks to go out, he says "want some", "hot dog". "donut (rorut)', "Katlyn (ratlyn)" my daughters name, he amazes us daily, its wonderful. He also understands "whos that?" he runs to the back window and waits to see who is walking up the back walk. If we ask him if he wants a bath, he runs to the bathtub and jumps in and waits. if we say "Milo want to go to Becky's?", the groomer, he runs to the door and waits. "wanna go in the car?", he runs to each back car door, til we open the right one. He is beginning to freak us out a bit. 8O

 Very Cool! I love the name Milo.
He sounds amazing!
None of my dogs are talkers, I wish they were.... even the occasional woorooroo would be great. LOL

Welcome to the forum! :) I can't wait to hear more about Milo, and pleas,e post pics! :)
Welcome! That's funny that Milo talks. I think Annie tries but I don't have a clue what she's saying.
I think I'm glad mine don't talk, Rosco would keep repeating TREATS PLEASE  Milo is a very cool sheepie name.
We need some video of Milo!
I am going to get some video of him, it has to be shown to the masses!

The first time he spoke I was eating a chocolate covered donut, he kept nudging and whining, and bugging me. I finally turned to him and said, "If you can say donut, I will give it to you." As I turned back to my sister, to continue our conversation, we both distinctly heard him say..."Ronut." I swear people, he did. Others have heard him too. One of the parents from my daughters softball team, brought chocholate covered donuts to a game, so everyone could hear him....and yes....he did it. But only for the chochlate covered ones. And any kind of sweet won't work, only chochlate covered donuts.

He can also say "Hog Gog", or hot dog to you human speakers.
How funny! And Milo is a GREAT name! :hearts:

Drez can understand everything (who's here? wanna go bye-bye? have to go out? what do you want?) but doesn't talk. If she wants a treat and we ask her what she wants, she races to the basement door because on the shelf behind it is where the treats are. Who's here? has her running to the back door. Same with wanny go bye-bye and have to go out?

They are big, lovable, fluffy clowns!!

Geez, I am envious. Mine just woof at me. I think Jack might be able to talk as he has many different sounds.

Who needs a parrot when one has Milo!! Now if you could teach him to dial 911 and explain emergencies, he could babysit for real money.
I gotta see it, but I'd be taken out back and flogged if I didn't mention that chocolate isn't good for Milo.

I'm not talking about nutritionally "not good", the way a chocolate donut is "not good" for people, we're talking about it is actually toxic for the dogs, even fatal in HUGE quantities.

Very small amounts won't kill him, but it's still not good for him.

That said, I might risk it once in a blue moon for a "rorut"!
I know that chochlate is bad for him, and we truly try to restrict his intake, but when the dog "asks" for it...what are you supposed to do?!?!

Another funny talking dog moment was when my sister was about to leave the house, and I said 'Come on Julie, stay one more night" She replied, "If Milo asks me to stay I will stay" With this, Milo stood up, walked over to her and said in his best Scooby-Doo impersonation, "Ruree". She screamed and satrted backing away from him, like he was possessed! He then pursued her into the guest room "Ruree! Ruree!" It was hysterical!!!

Be grateful for what you have-- mine never shut up. Lucy seldom barks but talks nonstop. Clyde picked it up from her and they lie face to face hitting each other in the head "yelling" at each other. It's delightful.
Milo sounds delightful! I can't wait for the video! :D
ahhh. how cute! I would love to hear him talk!
This thread just cracked me up. I wish Barkley could talk--but all he does is bark...and bark....and bark.....and bark. And then looks at me as if to say--"what the matter with you--don't you understand dog--but its ok Mom I love you even if your dense sometimes!"
I just love that Milo talks!!! Panda only groans and wookie talks, none of which makes any sense!
LOL I'm glad mine don't talk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wookie Talk  LOL Darcy! That's what Bailey does too! Mostly to tell me that it's really time for him to visit the yard, or to throw the ball with him, or to get up from the damn computer
No talking here, alot of "sassing"!

Ben understands exactly what we are saying, though! As cool as it sounds to have a "talking dog", I am kinda glad that he doesn't talk......I am still trying to figure out how to make my husband and oldest boy "hush"!
