Me too!
So far, the kids at school are in favor of us getting another Sheepie. My husband and my co-workers are against it. My mother said she won't come see me anymore if I get another one.
Anyone want to pull him and bring him to me? :D
They are out of their minds with that $500 adoption fee.
It definitley does not cost them $200 to get an animal neutered... especially at Humane Society.
He is a cutie though.
Hi All :D
I am just up the road from Columbus in Atlanta, GA.
Sent Muscogee County Humane an email this afternoon...wondering what's his story
Buckie looks like my Beebles at that age except with a pirate eye patch!
Awww...he's just a baby!
Not sure how I can help anyone...
Has anyone spoken to Muscogee County Humane...(706) 563-4929?
Diane...a bit $pricey$ for a GA County Humane
My husband and I have fell in love with this little boy.I will be calling in the morn. Since we live in Pa would there be any one willing to go and check him out for me? (what his temperment is like, tries to be alpha, other dogs, health issues, the normal things)

Then the other problem is it would be about 3 weeks till we could drive down for him. Would there be any one willing to foster him for me. I normaly would not ask this of any one but he has stolen our hearts.(I'll pay room and board) Were I'm at I am not logged in.

We ran into this 3 years ago....Not all Humane Societies belong to the National Group. FOr what ever reason....Then you have people that work or volumteer at ehr HS and take the dogs home...Then they turn around and sell them theirselves........... You Hear Humane Society and think every thing is OK????? Same as you hear RESCUE....... Thing are not always as they appear........ Who ever goes I would sure check and get all the paperwork signed..... No Humane Society charges $500.....Sheepie Hugs, KAye Second Chance OES Rescue
Hi All
This is the note I just received from the Muscogee County Humane...after I sent a second inquiry. This shelter's high $$ fees peaked my curiousity  Just wanted to find out a bit more!
Diane...anyone else inquire :?:

Buckie was surrendered to us a few weeks ago. Someone got him and then found out that they couldn't have that size dog in an apartment. I already have someone looking at him but I can put your name on the list if it doesn't work out. Are you looking for a big dog? We have some of others if you are interested. I believe we may have a Great Pyrenees coming in soon

 I will like this baby I have Cosmo almost 2 years old and he need a friend. I never done rescue so I am not sure about the price I bought my baby boy from a breader up at Kansas City. Can somebody tell me if they know if he still avail, and is 500 too much I don't mind driving to get him. I am in Florida any help will be greatly appreciated
I just got off the phone with the shelter (9 AM Thursday morning). Buckie is available.

If you are interested apply for him via both phone and email. They will adopt out of area. They will not release him to a rescue group. They have many applicants to choose from already so if you are truly interested in adopting Buckie make your application sound really good if you really want him. Be thorough but not too chatty. They have alot to read. I also suggest supplying your vet ( include the phone number) as a reference and letting them know if you have OES experience (if you really do) and I am sure if you have a fenced yard and are at home most of the time it would be a plus. Also let them know if you are willing to take him to obedience training...

Don't bother to try to bargain down the $500 price -- I talked to them about it -- the shelter needs the money for the other dogs and cats. He is still probably less expensive than amany puppy mill puppies... Consider the extra money a donation to the shelter.

Still trying to find homes for Mopsy and Prissy (being fostered in Jacksonville by Emily and Ian of our forum) and Little Gretchen (in foster care in Clearwater) They are the FL senior ladies.... Remember any of these girls would not be naughty like a puppy....
This guy was listed in two different threads; to keep it all in one place, please see the other one:
