Yay! We were all watching too!

Woof's Paternal Grandparents were Brinkely's - lets hope we bet a best in Show!

PS. Woof's brother Baxter won Junior dog, and his sister came fourth in Junior Bitch

well done yes it makes you proud to just have an OES. Will be watching at 7.00 oclock this evening.
I would love to watch it here in the States. Does anyone know when and if it will be aired? Thanks

The OES was not picked for best of show, to be honest im not supprised. I didnt think he looked that good and was only 21 months old. He carried himself well but lacked the coat. A freind of mine had the Son of the original Dulux advert dog, and Reibens coat is much thicker and straight. I thought the presentation of the dog could have been better, all the furr was brushed up the wrong way to make up for lack of body. I am not a judge but even i could see that. An OES that shows should embody the breed standard, but i have seen better looking ones in the street.

With all that said, i think he deserved to be as far as he got in show. I went to Crufts last week (Friday and Saturday) to watch 2 judgings, one was Gundog and the other involved our sheepies. I think he certainly deserved best of section, but not of breed, as i thought there were other finer examples of the OES at the show. 8O and IMHO there were at least 5 other dogs and bitches which looked better.... but like i say, im no judge just a fervent fan of the OES.

The one which won the show was a whippet  a fine dog for sure, but not my cup of tea, The interesting thing was gundogs, the show contender for best at show was a black Labrador  and that was a fine dog if i ever saw one....fine indeed.
But others which i feel deserved best of section were a fine Rhodesian Ridgeback in the last 7 of his section, A Borzoi in the Hound group (in the last 20 selection)

But a great show, 20 acres of indoor dog foolery and everything you could ever want to buy under one roof (well several roofs actually)
The last show (on Sunday evening) with the 2 dancing dogs was brilliant and showed how heel training works.
Thanks to the Kennel Club and Pedigree foods for another top quality week of dogs and fun, Cya there next year.

We were at crufts on Saturday too and I have to agree with you the Black Lab was absolutely stunning :D

rachel and Isobel
Did you catch that news article about a doberman that may have been drugged at Crufts?
Seems his owner felt he was acting sedated and took him to the chief Crufts vet and it was being investigated. First time in 20 years.
When I first saw the article I thought it was going to be the blac lab you referred to that was crying foul, but I am pretty sure it was a 22 month old doberman.
Just wondering how that was playing in England.
FYI - the 2004 Crufts Dog show will be televised in the US this Saturday, May 22nd on Animal Planet 8pm e/p.
