Panda's Backyard funk

Brian has been laying a sprinkler system for the past few days in the back yard....Panda does not know where to go to the bathroom, where to play, and just in general, the poor baby is miserable...this is what the yard is looking like....

Awww poor Panda girl!

Panda boy relates the following message: Dear Panda girl - I'm willing to let you join me in my backyard anytime. You can even sit in my massage chair when we go inside.

Hope the work is completed soon Darcy and life in the yard returns to normal.

Marianne and the boys
I feel for you, Darcy. I think I mentioned it in another post but now that the snow melted, I realized that we have almost no grass left! We tore up the yard when we put in the patio last fall but I have to admit, I'm not sure where the other grass even went! The yard is giant mud pit.

Look at it this way, I have to wait about 2 or 3 more months before I can even begin to fix mine thanks to the cold weather, you'll probably be done in a week or so!
Poor Panda! I can see the look of confusion on her face :?
My shepherd Loki did not know what to do when it snowed one winter! She searched high and low for a patch of grass and was most distressed until my DH cleared an area for her.

Awww poor panda! In the first picture, it looks like she is playing a complicated game of hopscotch. Love the one of her walking to the back wall. Sheepie butts are so cute. If she thinks this is bad, just wait til those sprinklers surprise her one day. That will be fun!
Aww. I'm so sad for Panda. Backyard upheaval is never fun. She looks so sad. Don't worry--it'll be finished soon.
Oh, poor Panda baby! If only she knew how much fun she'll have when the grass stays green all the time! Give her a big sympathy hug from me!
Chris
Bless her heart! Poor Panda! She looks so confused!
Darcy,

Panda can come stay with Ben until all is back to norm. :D Ben loves to share his big back yard, he even developed his very own "race track"! 8O
Aww Poor Panda :(
I just happen to be looking at the pictures as Billy walked by. He couldn't believe the amount of pvc pipes that Brian used. He laughed. He said that Brian went quite a bit overboared. Billy said that Brian put more pipes in your backyard that we have in our entire yard... lol
I told him that I told you to have Brian call him if he had any questions.
I said I was happy that you were finally getting sprinklers and that's all that matters :D
brian does not...EVER...want to have to move a sprinkler again...he is making sure that there are no dry spots..lol...
Yes Val, it should be interesting the very first time the sprinklers come on...she will either freak out or attack them like the vacuum cleaner...this morning, she dropped a ball into a trench and came back inside with a muddy face and paws....
LOL :D Poor confused Panda!

LMAO...that is what Billy said about the pool equipment after he moved it last week.... and that's why he also ran electrical, water & gas lines (for his new BBQ he will be building) when he put in the new sprinklers on the side of the yard we just excavated to make it level. He never wants to dig there again.
When the bobcat machine came to level the yard last month they ripped out 99% of the sprinkler system that Billy just redid last summer....lol
Poor Panda! I wish I had some grass for her to play on. Darned desert landscaping
POOR PANDA!!!! She looks SOOOOO unhappy!!!!!

That is quite a sprinkler system ya got there Darcy, I'd like to come run through the sprinkler at YOUR HOUSE
Poor Girl.
I hope everything returns to normal for Panda real soon. She looks so confused!
Poor Panda. They're kind of pitiful when their routine gets switched around. Hopefully you'll be done soon. How lucky that your husband can do that kind of stuff. Think how much easier it will be to water automatically. I bet Panda will have a new sport of running through the sprinklers. I hope she won't be afraid of them. The noise they make when they first start up might scare her, especially if she happens to be doing her business at the time.
LOL ...that is a funny thought...still not done yet, but closer..Brian hopes to have it done today.....keep your fingers crossed...
Darcy, just want you to know that we think Panda is adorable!.....and definitely understand what you girls are going thru...we recently completed consruction of our home, includiing the installation of an irrrigation system that included a pond, and a well to fill the pond, that draws the water to irrigate the property(this made more since because the town we live in is way too proud of their water and would be costs prohibitive without a well, fortunately we hit a deep natural artesian water well right away)anyway... the construction process with all the animals was a living nightmare from hell,lol..........we had to rotate the horses so they wouldn't be spooked by all the commotion or fall into one of the holes and break something.....had to also, rotate the dogs so they would have a safe area to play when they were outside, but needless to say,it was wild, dogs barking at the workman, running in the mud, digging holes of their own,we had our own 4-legged built-in landscaoe crew, just trying to survive and take care of the animals in the process was a total workout ...........so we definitely understand Panda's agony and wish you a speedy end to your sprinkler installation!! LOL,,,,,,,,,I don't think I will EVER want to build again!! Good Luck and Take Care,Kimberly
Okay its 5:07 Sunday Feb 26.....Brian is filling in the last of the trenches...I drew up a whole diagram of the yard so that he will know what line goes to what head...and on what system....its messy and muddy and my house is a dirt and dead grass haven...hopefully we will be up and running tonight, so I can clean house on Wed....Ill take pictures once the grass is actually green again....I cant wait!
Those pics are hilarious! LOL
She is so cute....
Poor Panda, did brian make a special potty area for her, or is he taking the chance that she might leave those lovely dead/brown spots on his soon to be new lawn  LOL

She does look so confused
For as perfectly anal as Brian is, the pee spots dont throw him over the edge...he just hoses them down if his is out there...Im supposed to do the same, but really...it is only grass......
