Maggie's campaign to win Chummie's heart

Over the past few weeks, I've been watching Maggie make gradual inroads with Chummie. They keep me company while I watch tv in the den. Chummie usually claims the doggie bed right in front of me. Starting a couple weeks ago, Maggie would sit next to the bed. After a few days of that, she started doing this slow scratch / yawn thing and fall into place next to the bed. A couple days ago, she started inchng closer so that her foot, then her chin, then her shoulders would be on the same bed with Chummie. Just a few minutes ago, she leaned back with her head and shoulders on the bed literally nestled into Chummie's belly! It was so cute! That didn't last long but now she has paws, one arm, and half her body (up to her rear hips) on Chummie's bed. Chummie is snoozing and Maggie is gnawing on a horse hoof. I'm just thrilled to see them almost cozy together. :hearts:

Awwwwww! How absolutely wonderful to hear!
How lovely is that, just makes me smile BIG TIME reading how maggie and chummie are getting along. :D So nice to hear
Sigh. Wimmin. Give'em a snout on the bed and they'll be gnawing a chew hoove on your pillow in no time at all.
LOL Ron -- you crack me up. :P
Im so happy to hear that things are progressing slowly but surely...maggie has the right idea...
I'm so happy, Val! They are both wonderful girls. Now that I've seen your den, I can totally picture Maggie trying to get closer to Chum :D
How sweet! :hearts: Maggie loves her big sis. :D
Tsk, Ron..........Hummmmph
Here are some pictures of Maggie sneaking her way into CHummie's space.

Maybe Chum won't notice. . .

Lol..that second picture is the best...Mags looks like she is saying "shh, stop mom, Im almost there....." Oh Maggie, you crack me up!
OMG those pictures are too cute!!
How great is this, Val! :high5: Slowly a bond is being formed!! Great pictures!

Do you have two dog beds? We actually have 3 for Drez - one on the first floor, and two in our room, next to each other so she can stretch out and still be on a pillow!

Chris
yay way to go :go:
Yes, there is another dog bed just to my right. For the first couple months, they would swap beds (you're here? fine, I'm there. No I want that one. Ok I 'll take this one) back and forth like that. Now, Maggie is definitely choosing to try to share with Chummie. It is so funny to watch her sneak on, inch by inch. Chummie doesn't seem thrilled (you can see in the picture) but she is growing more tolerant. I love it.
That's so sweet.... Maggie is a smart girl :)
That is so great! And I love those pictures. Maggie is so curly and fluffy! And it's true--it looks like she is telling you to be quiet so that you don't ruin her chances of staying on the bed...
Great photos, Val! It really does look like Maggie's saying "Mom! Don't tell her I'm here!" It warms your heart, doesn't it? :hearts:
love the pics of your girls, they are adorable!!!!!.......it is fun to watch them each find their "spot" in the pack.....our latest additions are finding their way into the hearts and beds of our older crew too!! lol....good luck Maggie!
What cute snuggle bunnies. How can you resist when they look up at you with such cute faces!
