Update on Kelsey - We are Trying Perna Canaliculus

Well we went to the vets and yes all the tremours and shakes is caused by arthritis, the shakes were definately pain related. Have had oldies before with arthritis in their back ends but never with the tremours/shakes that kelsey was having.

Anyhow good news, the vet did not put her on any pain meds as with her history and boy that is some history and the way she reacts to drugs he wanted me to try a natural therapy first. I told him she was on glucosamine and has been for awhile. He suggested a supplement "Perna Canaliculus" which is the scientific name for New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussel. Using this on humans too with arthritic problems as well. Well started 3 days ago and the improvement in such a short time is remarkable. She is getting up so much better the shakes and tremours are hardly present now and that is only after 3 days on the stuff. He said to try it for a few weeks as sometimes it takes awhile to help and if she did not respond then would look into prescribing pain meds.

Well it is working and am most impressed with it so we shall see how she goes on it in the next few months. Woo Hoo
