Hello from Smalltown Ontario

Hello everyone:
I'm new to the oes forum pages. I lovingly own a sometimes hyper, sometimes lazy, and always loving 3yr. old sheepie named Maggie. :D I actually joined the other day as i am looking to adopt a rescue sheepie :D My wife and i were actually thinkinf of trying to get another puppy, then i read the 10 reasons for an adult dog and a couple stood out for us. We work long hours and it happened by chance, my wife was on maternity when we got Maggie, not really by chance  I would like to thank everyone for the knowledge and the stories about there sheepies, when i read some of them, i think, hey Maggie does this and Maggie does that. I guess it is just the breed. Well looking forward to getting some pics of my Maggie so everyone can see her.
Keith

Welcome to the forum, Keith!

If you've been browsing for a few days, you know how much we love pictures! Can't wait to see Maggie!! :D

And congratulations on your decision to adopt!! :D
Welcome to the forum, Keith! Good luck in your plans to adopt an adult OES. We've owned 3 sheepies over the course of 27 years and all have been rescues. Haven't had the pleasure of "starting from scratch" yet. Hope to do that once I retire!

Pictures are dues on the forum, so pay up!!

Chris
Welcome to the forum! :)
Welcome Keith and Maggie, look forward to seeing some pics of your girl. :D
Welcome! I can't wait to hear more and see pictures!
Welcome and yes we need pictures!
 Welcome to the forum! :high5: :go:
Welcome Keith!

We NEED more men around here! :D

I am especially interested in how Maggie bonds with you -- my experience has been that "my" dogs (all male) have taken more to Joan than to me, I'm wondering if perhaps a female would bond more closely with a male.

Again, WELCOME to the forum!
Hi Keith,

Well it's nice to see Ron bonding with you already! Thanks to him it's the reason for the existance of this incredible forum. Keith, no doubt you'll be impressed with all the informative post and friendly people here. Never hesitate to ask a question as we all share our experiences . I can't wait to hear more Maggie stories!

Welcome from me and the boys. (Merlin, Panda and Blue)

According to a recent survey there are more boy sheepies that live with their uprights on this forum, so my guys are happy to hear Maggie has joined in! I can swear they chant..more girl sheepies! :D
welcome to the forum yeah another girl sheepie.. Ron asfar as girl sheepies bonding with the males better i dont agree as ive a girl sheepie and she just wont do anything for my hubby she definatly a mommys girl. how about everyone else . :?:
Panda is a mommy's girl too :D
Depends. 3 females and 1 males. When they want playtime they go find "daddy". When it is food, ME. But when I am home, and doing house stuff, I do find that I have all the dogs following me around like the Pied Piper..instead of pestering hubby, who is ususally sitting on the couch in front of the TV.
Generally, though, I think that males are more bonding and close, and females are more independant. I don't think they care if thier humans are male or females, and I suspect they don't even know the difference. How would they?
Nicole...Mommy's have more shoes :D
Welcome!!!!!!
