Pet health insurance?!
As we get closer to the day we get our puppy, I get more excited - but also more realistic about the health costs coming along!!!   |

with 2 rescues and hopefully a pup in the spring. are there different ages they will not insure?? what do they cover?? |
| I have VPI pet insurance. I like them a lot although they are a bit slow on getting you a refund when you file a claim. The cover all ages no matter what age you enroll your pet in and give you a multiple pet discount. I really like them because the plan I have covers pretty much anything you can think of to max 90% so thats pretty good. I had a lot of health issues with my last OES so I thought I would get it for Lily. Well when you have insurance the likely hood of something happening always goes down cause everything happens when you dont have insurance but I figure it is better to have it than to risk it because I couldnt afford a big bill on short notice. I would recommend them over most other companies but it depends on what you want covered. Petco has their own insurance but pretty much doesnt seem to cover anything and the AKC has their own insurance that is reasonably good as well. There are others but I cant think of their names right off the bat. So thats my input on it all. |
