What movie have you seen lately, and was it good?

Let's share, so we know what to avoid or watch! Give it your star rating (5 being best, 1 star being terrible)

I'd love to hear about the movies out in the theater. We haven't seen any due to the little one. I've only seen what's out on the New Release rack.

WHERE are the comedy's? There hasn't been a good one since Hitch (which in my opinion should have received some awards... only movie I've laughed at the entire time in YEARSSSSSSSSS)

We recently rented "The Man" .....I thought it was good. 3.25 stars. Mr. J thought it had a lot of potential but didn't like the directing. Thought the characters came off as "acting" too much. I personally didn't see that. I love the guy with glasses. He was hystericalllllll!!

I want to see Brokeback Mountain. However, I can only watch it when my husband goes to the field in March/April. He refuses to watch it.

Transporter 2: Mr. J gives it 4 stars. Loved it. I haven't seen it.

Into the Blue: Mr. J would have given it 3 stars and thought it was okay. I give it 2.2 stars. I kept expecting something more to happen.

Four Brothers: 4 stars

American Pie: Band Camp - 0 stars. [did not like it alot]

Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo: 2.4 stars

Cinderella Man: 4 stars. liked it a lot

My sister and went and saw Derailed with Clive Owen (YUMMY) and Jennifer Aniston. 4 stars. Great movie not a role you expect her in.

Closer (Clive Owen again) 3.5 Stars.

Wedding Crasher - LMAO every time. Love Vince Vaughn.

40 year old Vrgin - funny!!!!!

Memior of a Geisha - Awesome, I loved the book more though
We watched Flightplan and Just Like Heaven last night. Flightplan was a good movie - kept you wondering whether she was going crazy or not until nearly the end. Just like Heaven was a cute movie - got a few laughs out of me & my husband. :)
We took my oldest son (who is 3.5) to the movies to see THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE......it was alright, I like more of the "Men Shows" ie: Gladiator, 13th Warrior....) ....however my Hubby and boy loved it!!

We have a 9 mo. old so, we record most of the movies off TiVo once they hit........it is a rare occassion when we can get out!

Hitch was Great!!!!! :P
We just joined Netflicks as the movie theaters are too expensive and uncomfortable.

Constant Gardener - a little slow and left me with some questions, but I give it 4 stars

Saved - Hilarious! It might offend some. Those of you who went to Catholic school (Darcy) will love it. My hubby did - 4 stars

Grizzly Man - Strange documentary about the crazed man who lived with the bears. 2 stars

March of the Penguins - Great footage, interesting, but I ended of falling asleep 2 stars
License to Kill- Bond movie, if you like one, you'll pretty much like them all. I love this movie, it's on TV now. 5 *'s
Kill Bill 1 and 2...must rent them together....still my fav!!

I wanted to take the boys to see Chronicles of Narnia, but I wasn't sure if Brandon would last through it. I loved the book when I was younger. We're taking them to see Curious George tomorrow - that should be fun. :)
Thanks Ron for finishing what I didn't (edit)! ;)

Constant Gardener I didn't get why this won an award at ALL. I struggled through it. I would have given it 2.8 stars.

Grizzly Man Mr. J would probably think I'm being harsh, but I also give it 2 stars. The guy was wacko imo. "I am a bear. Hear me roaarrr"

I'm happy to hear Memior of a Geisha was good. I can't wait to see it myself!!

I'm DYING for Divinci Code to come out!

Anyone see King Kong or that Johnny Cash movie!!

Me too, I loved the book, 1 day to read it.

I want to see the Johnny Cash story, my grandparents saw it and said it was fanatastic and Kin King doesn't appeal to me.
Walk the Line was soo good! I love Johnny Cash so I was really excited to see this and I was definitely pleased... you should definitely see it!

The last movie I saw in the theatre was The Squid and the Whale and it was fantastic, I would definitely recommend it.
We rented Million Dollar Baby last weekend and Cinderella man. I liked them both. I'd give Million Dollar Baby a 4 Clint Eastwood I think directed it. We took a few of the residents where I work to see The Chronicles of Narnia. I didn't think I'd see much of it because of bathroom duty but the funny thing was I had to go first. Two residents fell asleep and the others thought it was too violent.I enjoyed going I'd give Narnia a 4 too.
In theaters:

Syriana - 4
Brokeback Mountain - 3
Walk the Line - 3
Memoirs of a Geisha - 3

On DVD:
Hotel Rwanda - 4
The Machinist - 3
Hostage - 2
Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow - 3
Garden State - 3
Aviator - 3
21 Grams - 3
Batman Begins - 3
Interpreter - 3
Life Aquatic - 3
^^
that's a great selection you've seen.
Lastnight we watched Two for the money with Matthew McConaughey and Al Pacino. I would give it 3stars.
Started to watch The Fog. Fell asleep.
Flight Plan 4 Stars
4 Brothers 3 Stars
The Island 4.5 Stars

I looove horror movie's!!!! But they have been disappointing lately. Anyone see red eye? I've heard mixed reviews. I don't think there's many horror movie fans anymore...

Memiors of a Giesha was so beautiful but I think you have to read the book to fully get the movie.
Wow...
I guess I don't see many when they are first out. LOL

I loved Mr & Mrs Smith, but it could have been better, so I'd say a 3.5
That's the only one i can think of at the moment... I know we have rented maybe 6 or 7 movies in the last month or so, but I can't think of which ones....lol... so I guess they weren't that great....
Oh, and Stealth, I though Stealth was not done very well in terms of storyline, writing or acting, but I LOVE those ships. I WANT one. LOL
