Anyone who shows~ what do you feed?
I want to find a food that will speed up coat growth and put a few pounds on them. I am currently feeding Iams and they love it and do wonderfully on it. Small, firm stools, no upset tummies or digestive problems etc... but I'm wondering what I could try to help get them into even better condition for show. I've tried a few, pro plan (stools were bigger and looser), wellness (I think it was too rich, they threw up on it) I'm currently considering Nutro, Canidae, and Eagle Pack. I am familiar with the "Grow Hair On A Doorknob" recipe, though I haven't tried it. Maybe is it better to keep them on the food they do well on, and supplement for hair growth? |

| What about adding stuff to the food? we add cottage cheese to barney's food and his coat seems to grow pretty quickly... |
| Eagle Pack is great stacey, I swapped over about 12 months ago from proplan and love it. Use to add supplements but don't need too now as it has everything in it. From Kelp powder to Omega Oils to probiotics and digestive enzymes etc. Kelsey has a sensitive tummy and had no problems with her on this, did have a few problems with her on Proplan.
Noticed coats are better and stools are firmer and not smelly. It is more expensive but actually works out better as you are feeding less & don't need any supplements because of all the nutrition in it. It does build them up too so be careful with amounts had to cut down on the amount they were getting on previous dry as this one does beef them up. Had to put weight on Brie as being a big girl needed more filling out and this was great for that, got her to a better weight/substance and now just maintain that with smaller amounts of the dry  |

Verve That was my baby formula because I couldn't tolerate anything else. I'm only 4 FT 11--so I wouldn't count on it  |
| The Hololistic Chicken one, in the variety on offer from Eagle Pack there is 3 different ones with different meats in the Hololitic range. Plus other varieties that are not the Hololistic just normal. Heaps of variety from Duck, Fish, Lamb too.
Some are rice based some are oatmeal based. All organic and human quality grade food used in making the dry. lisaoes |
