pneumonia
 She's nearly 12 its been just over a week now with no signs of improvment. She was in the vets for 4 days and is now home but on complete rest she has to be kept quiet. Ifeel such a bad mum at the moment having to force a cocktail of pills down her neck each morning and evening. her temp is still at 103 her heart has enlarged and her white cells are up. Ifeel so useless not being able to help her as she is really struggling to breathe. i seen her x-rays there not a pretty site the vet said that he hadent seen a dogs lungs this bad and still living  but she is a stubourn old girl. i know that it will be along time for her to recover. but it breaks my heart seeing her this way. |

| The poor baby! I always feel worse when my dog is sick than I do when a family member is sick, because the dogs can't understand what's going on. I hope she feels better soon! (((((hugs)))))

| not a good update she has been taken in again. the vet is going to repeat the x-ray to see whats going on with the lungs. As at the minute she now has fluid in her stomach and they think her heart is starting to fail. so just waiting on a phone call to decide the next step. If her heart is failing then she will be put to sleep as its heart breaking to see her suffering the way she is.Thats been almost two weeks now and no signs of improvement. i just cant bear to see her this way She has brought so much joy to my life. weve been through some really rough times but she has always been there for me. So i think out of love for her the kindest thing will be putting her to sleep. to end all her suffering. Lets just hope the vet phones with some good news. |

| I am sooo sorry. As you know we are also dealing with having to put our Dog down. We decided that today is the day. It is so hard to let go....but I am sure you don't want her to suffer anymore.

I am heartbroken as I read your post and I'm so sorry. In your earlier post, although you must be grieving terribly you know logically what is the best decision. | I know what it must feel to have your beloved sheepie with pneumonia, Luque had a mild case just when she was delivered to us and that nearly killed her, but thans God she's fine now...
