Transport Help needed..Canadian side of the border...

We need to get a rescue OES from New Brunswick to Toronto. Travel would start at the northern part of New Brunswick, around past Quebec to Montreal, then along the 401 to Toronto. We may do an overnite in the Montreal area. Timing is as soon as it can be arranged.
A couple of long runs would be best, but any offers at this point would be welcome. Feel free to post or PM me if you are able to help.

Hi,

Any luck so far? Wish I could help but I'm on the other side of Canada. Have you tried the dog express thingie? Someone once posted a website that told about animal transport cross country run by volunteers. I do hope this becomes a reality for you and wanted to wish you all the best.

Marianne and the boys
Thanks, Marianne.
I belong to a couple of transport lists, so are still hearing back from volunteers. There are other options that we are exploring, too. Once we get all of them on the table we can see what works best and schedule the timing and the people.
Stay tuned!
Hi :) .

I'd be gald to help out :) . I'm in Ottawa but I could help by driving down to Cornwall for the pick up and then drive down to Brockville if that works for you. I'm sure that there are a few other sheepie nuts out there along the 401 that are willing to help  .

Let me know :)

Uncle Pete :)
Uncle Pete -
Great to hear from you! How's your baby girl? :D
Hi Tammy :).

Nice to hear from you. My little Dallas is doing great now (she'll be 10 in March) as I was finally able to find her a little sister. I was able to adopt another OES and yes she is your typical OES (wigglebum, sweet, playful, very social, loves Dallas and I was able to groom her with no problems - I think she took her cue from Dallas when I was shaving her - a little cut - a biscuit - a little more cut - another biscuit and this went on until I was done, I'll have to post a few funny pics of them). I got Panda in mid-October, 7 1/2 years young. Just like Dallas, she has one blue eye and one brown eye, the same disposition, character and she's turned out to be a geat little angel and Dallas and I love her to death.

I think I got her just in time too. I heard this girl at work talking about a couple that she knew who had Panda and a 2 1/2 year old Doberman that they were about to put sleep. This couple and their 2 kids moved into a brand new house a year before and because they didn't want their brand new wooden floors to get scratched, the dogs lived in the garage and were very rarely allowed in the basement (they lived like this for a whole year and although the garage was heated in the winter, it still gets pretty cold and it would of been very boring for them).

Well now Panda sleeps at the foot of my bed and is the happiest camper around :) . The former owner and her friend and the kids have been over to check up on her and they can see a difference in Panda and she was even crying when she left because her baby is still alive and as happy as an OES should be (and I'm making sure of that) :) .

The doberman was also adopted :D .

What a great rescue story! Panda sounds like a dream and it's so nice that she & Dallas love each other. Worked out perfectly for all of you! I do so love happy endings! :D

Please post some pictures of them when you get a chance and tell us some of their stories! :D
Yeah to another Panda!!! I think its turning out to be the "Lisa" in dog names..lol!
Are there lots of Lisa's? When I was in school it was Jessica and Kristen (kristy), jennifer (and all the other forms of it...)
In my high school class there were only 50 girls...6 of which were named Lisa..including my sister....lol...why oh why isnt Darcy popular???
I've only met one Darcy before...

You're unique!
Baaaa on unique...I just always wanted to find something with my name on it....ie...comb, wallet, door plaque, keychain, shot glass, anything...Lisa was always the lucky one...although I did get a nickname...she didnt...Darcia to Darcy.....Lisa is always just Lisa :D
lol. my name was supposed to be Lisa but my old Polish grandma had a dog named Lisa at the time and she made a big stink about it. she thought my mom was naming me after a dog.

i had aboout 100 jennifers in my high school.
Just found this post!!!

Grant goes to Toronto usually weekly...we are in the Perth/Smiths Falls area. Please let me know if you need help between Ottawa and Toronto...I think we could arrange that. :D

I will also promise to control my urge to STOP at my house with the sheepie! and not continue on...honestly...I promise!!!
We had had several offers for the Montreal - Toronto run, and thanks so much! We are keeping track of all the folks who can help. It is the Fredericton to Montreal run that we are having little luck with. We'd like to do this ASAP, so if anyone has any connections, let me know.
It has been decided that she will be flown. Thank you sooo much for all the offers!
