cracking?

I noticed while grooming sasha the other day that at the base of her nipples it looks like they have become dry and cracked? They have dried blood. Just wondering if there's a cream anyone has tried.

Ouch! I would try some baby lotion or other unscented skin lotion for sensitive skin, i.e. Aveeno, Eucerin.
vasaline or that lotion...hoof and udders..or something like that...
That's what I was thinking, too, Darcy. There's a lotion that has "udders" in the name and I believe that is what it was originally developed for and later came to be used by people. I'll see if I can find the name.
Bag balm is made for that exact sort of thing. It is widely available online and elsewhere:

I guess I would wonder what is causing it. Do you bathe her frequently? Has she been licking?
Is it called udderly smooth? I was wondering about it....I have vasaline so I'll give that a try and then I'll grab some udderly smooth if I can find it.
Have your girls had this trouble before?

She has been licking alot...I bathe her 1-2 times a month but I dialute the shampoo so it's more on the mild side.
No Panda doesnt have that problem, but she was fixed at 7 months...barely has any nipples..... 8O
Annie had utters when we got her due to having 3 litters of pups and being almost 20 pounds overweight! They didn't look chafed though. You can also try a little bit of Neosporin. Yes, the cream is Udderly Smooth. It's in a squeezable tube which has cow spots on it (black, white, red tube)I was just trying to think of something you might have in the house already. My Mom uses it on her dog's belly. You may want to try an Oatmeal shampoo too. It's more mild and is supposed to be soothing, also smells yummy!
You could try putting a little oil in her food too to help prevent dry skin.... or a fish oil supplement can works wonders.
Sasha would like to give you all sheepie hugs for the wondefull advice  I'm doing the vasaline thing because she is licking it as soon as I put it on.....
