Ch. Lambluv's Desert Dancer "Yoshi"

It is with great sadness that I will post this email I received....

Hi Colleen,
I just received the very sad news that Ch. Lambluv's Desert Dancer "Yoshi" passed away yesterday. He was a very nice boy and I was lucky enough to have met him and give him kisses. He's been ill and that was why Jere opted to stay home from the Eukanuba show and take care of her very special boy. I doubt we'll ever see another like him and he will be sorely missed. I can only imagine how much anguish Jere is in right now.
I'm sure she'd appreciate hearing from her Lambluv family and friends at this time. Maybe it will help ease the pain knowing that we're here for her.
Would you be willing to post on any groups you belong to? Extra special hugs and smooches to Gucci and the Murph.
Sadly,
Cathy

All of my thoughts are with Jere during this undoubtly hard time.

Oh I'm so sorry Jere has lost Yoshi....
Such a beautiful dog, and even in pictures you can see he was a lover boy.
I was at many shows that Jere and Yoshi attended, he was a beautiful boy who was always wonderfully groomed and presented. A very sad time for Jere.
Dear Jere,

Sorry for your loss of Yoshi, and the loss to the OES community of a great Champion.
I don't know them but I have alot of sympathy. Does anyone have information about the circumstances? Was he young or old? Was this normal or unexpected?
I'm sorry for your loss. God bless.
Sorry and much sympathy for the loss of Yoshi. A well known and magnificent champion, gone but never forgotten even in Australia. So sorry for your loss of such a wonderful boy. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I am so sadden to hear of the loss of such a great champion and wonderful companion.
Yoshi, was Mojo's great-great grandfather. When I first saw Yoshi on their website I was in awe. http://www.lambluv.com/Westminster.htm
Some days when I am brushing Mojo, I think of him and hope Mojo grows up to be even half as beautiful.
My deepest sympothy to the family. I hope they find some comfort that Yoshi will live on in their hearts and in future generations.
So sorry for your loss. :(
Hi everyone,

Yoshi was an icon in the OES world and still is. His presence made you feel privileged to be around him. I had the honors of videoing some of his "Family Reunion" at the Specialty in Charlotte in 2000 I believe with around 20 or 30 of his offspring all around him. And even when Jere brought him out in Seattle at the 2003 National Specialty when he was stiff from age (I believe he was 11 then), and slowing a bit from his old bones, I felt honored to be part of his final presentation to the world and thanked Jere for having him there. He moved a little stiff but still possessed the glow and stature that had carried him above so many others and to so many "Best in Shows." It took a lot of courage on her part to have him there and of course there were always those who had negative comments about it because he was no longer in his prime. I felt sorry for those folks and savored the moment. He set a very high standard for all of us trying to do our part in improving the breed and his magnificence silenced ever his top rivals. His memory will always be cherished in these eyes.

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful boy with all of us! Both of you will always be in our thoughts and we will smile knowing we knew him and have had the pleasure of knowing you.

Bless you Jere our hearts go out to you!

That is quite a tribute. I am glad to know more about him so I can better appreciate the meaning of his passing. Thanks for the additional info.
I am very sad to hear of Yoshi's passing.
He was an incredibly beautiful OES.
My deepest sympathies
It is so sad that Yoshi has passed. He was an absolutely beautiful OES and actually the deciding factor in going with Lambluv.
He was also Toby and Gucci's great grandfather on both sides so hopefully they can carry on his legacy and do justice to his name.
What a magnificent champion.
Very nice tribute zach....

I've been reading about the death of Yoshi. I've never seen him, and i don't know the owner but i send my sympathies. My OES died in may at the age of 8yrs due to a stomach tumor. His name was Rufus and I'm heartbroken. He was nothing special just my pet, but I share the pain of loss. I'm so sorry. Lori
Yoshi was a spectacular Old English Sheepdog and his passing was so very sad  http://www.lambluv.com/Westminster4.htm .

Your boy was special because he was your companion. When the time is right I hope you can open your heart again to another sheepie. There will never be another exactly like your Rufus or Ch. Lambluv's Desert Dancer but each is special in their own unique way. Sheepies also have a special way of healing a broken heart. Hugs to you during your time of grief.

What a sad day for so many. He was extremely beautiful and loyal. Thankfully he has been able to pass down some of his great traits to his children - he will never be forgotten. I'm sorry for all those who were close to this wonderful dog - he was magnificent.
Jaclin, Thank you so much for posting the link to the pic. Not being a "show person" I'm not familiar with who's who although I have heard the kennel name. What a beautiful dog. What a sad loss.
Such a loss, I remember Angel posting some video clip of Yoshi a while back - an absolutely beautiful sheepie.

Thoughts and wishes to all of Yoshi's family xxxx
My deepest sympathies. He was beautiful.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Keep the memories alive in your heart.
