barking

hi

i wonder if anyone can help me.. i have an oes puppy and she is 17 weeks old.. We keep her in the kitchen with our other dog but have a stair gate up at the door to keep her in..
Now the problem is her barking.. In the morning she barks until it gets that bad that u have to get up and sort her out.. We have tried ignoring her but i dont really want to upset the neighbours to much..
a good example is this mornin at 4am my son woke up and shouted to put his light light.. which then woke holly up so she started barking..We tried ignoring her but it got to the point where my partner had to get up and shout at her to shut up.. which she did do but then at 7am she was off again.. It drives me mad!! just the slighest noise and she is off..i know we shouldnt give it to her by going when she barks...

any suggestions ??
thanks

Welcome to the forum :)

Have you considered crate training? If she is in a crate you could put the crate in your room for now, so at least she wouldn't likely bark at night. It really helps housetraining as well.
If not a crate could you keep her in your room anyway?
I'm not sure what else to suggest....
Good luck! :)
