Oh thank you for reminding me!!! LOL :)
Willowspite,
LOL Would have entered Bogart, but as you can see-
I can't spell Eukanuba!!
You spelled it just fine?? :? LOL

Anyway, thank you for saving me ten dollars! I went to set a reminder on my digital cable thingy so I wouldn't miss any of it, and realized the channel wasn't working. I was sure I had that package of channels, the Family theme pack with Animal Planet, Discovery, National Geographic etc.... but then I thought, well maybe I don't? :? So I called my cable company, and was going to order it, and they said you already have it. So I told them I kept getting a message saying I need to order it and he said there was an error on my digital cable box and I hadn't been recieving those channels for 40 days, but had been paying for them. LOL
They fixed it, and credited my account 10.72 :)
:( I don't get Animal Planet :(
Push over a bit, Ginny, let me join you sitting outside on the curb.

Since Joan and I returned from our big trip, we don't have any sort of pay-for-TV. Just my rabbit ears! :)

29 months times at least $45 a month... $1,300!
But times like this make me long for it. :(

I refuse to do business with my cable company anymore -- I'm waiting for Verizon FiOS to offer TV programming. At that point if they have something competitive I'll go for it. If not, I'll order a satellite package.

Love Dish network !
Ok, what's going on?!!

Earlier, I set a reminder on my digital cable, it WAS there in the listings, the Eukanuba show.... and now, when I look at the listings it's GONE!!!
This sucks, I think they're only going to air it in the states maybe??
I don't know why it would have been in the listings if it was never going to air here :(
It's not just mine either, I called a friend about it, and it is not in her digital cable listings either. She is in a different city with a totally different cable provider. :(

For those of you in the states who get the channel, is it still showing up in your listings?

OES won herding! Yay!
Yay for OES! He's so good looking! Wonderful sheepie fluff.
What a great looking (aren't they all) OES! I thought he should have won. Anyway, the OES won the herding group.
Three cheers for Ch. Bugaboo's Big Resolution
:clappurple:

It was great to see all the oes.org members up and dancing
when he won herding group!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He was beautiful!!!! :clappurple: I was so happy to him running in the ring!!! I just knew she was going to pick him! Oh well, at least he won something!!!
Way to go Ch. Bugaboo's Big Resolution!
What a beautiful boy.
He looked great, didn't he? This is the 2nd year in a row an OES won herding group at this show. Pretty good! :D

I thought she was gonna pick him too. But that Alaskan Malamute was having a really good night.
DANG, I fell asleep!!!! :(

What a beautiful sheepie! I only saw him last night during the best in show. That malamute was gorgeous too and had an air about him that showed in his swagger. I don't know how they judge all the different breeds against one another. Each breed is so diffierent and their traits are so varied.
Times like this I miss cable! lol Sucks when you have to weigh out whether to send your child to a really nice preschool (which is what we picked) or cable... Since we can't get local channels either, it's been interesting without tv. :)

The malamute was beautiful!! I saw his win during the working dog competition and the bred by shown by. Talk about a sweep!!!! (I did manage to stay awake THAT long :( ). He really did have "the attitude"!!!!
Barney had a great time watching the dog show. Last time there was a dog show on my husband was not home. I told him that Barney got up from lying on the floor to walk to the tv and watch. I don't think he believed me. Well, this time we were watching the show and Barney was patrolling the cats as usual and then one of the showdogs barked and Barns looked over...and stopped all that he was doing and started watching! It was so cute. There were some dogs that he would walk up and press his nose against the screen, and others he watched from further away. We have one of those giant tv's so it must have looked like real dogs to him! I even pulled his hair back in a clip so he could have a better view!
:D :D Funny! Beaureguard did the same thing. He kept walking up to the screen to sniff the dogs. :D :D Genevieve happily watched from the vantage point of Mom's lap. :D
Tasker has never paid the slightest attention to anything on TV. Ty on the other had sat on the bed in rap attention watching the entire time and every time a dog barked, he barked. I can't imagine what the difference is.
Maggie has never paid any attention to the tv either. There could be dogs barking, running, jumping, race cars going, whatever, and she would have no interest.
Barney doesn't usually pay any attention--except when the doorbell rings on tv--he thinks it is real and barks and runs to the front door, but besides, that he never watches tv except dog shows...
"Beaureguard's Mom"]:D :D Funny! Beaureguard did the same thing. He kept walking up to the screen to sniff the dogs. :D :D

Bogart, too! Next to eating meals and treats, TV is his favorite
pasttime. :D
WOO HOO GO SHEEPIES!!!!. I also think that sheepie should have won the cup as well not just group. But Hooray for sheepies everywhere!
The headpiece on that dog was absolutely AWESOME! He looked better there than he did in September. He took Best of Opposites at the National. Here's some pics of him at the Top 20.

(They're a little fuzzy, it was a nice cocktail hour! )
He is a beauty!!!! Thanks for the pics!!!
Ok, stupid question (I still consider myself an OES "virgin"!) , what is the big fluffy hump on Bugaboo's back . . . .does he have tail that is fluffed up or what!
Do you mean where his tail "should" be? There could be bit of the tail left depending on how short it was docked..

Lol. No, it's just hair all puffed up for show. It's brushed backward and up from the tail area and is cut to accentuate the high angle of the butt. It's a show thing!
LOL, I thought you ment on your dog!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!
ok, thanks for clearing that up
Not sure if I like it or not, just looks like a big bump!!!!!!! :?
Mandy, do you know where this dog is from? If it was mentioned on the show, I missed it. I noticed when the OES was being presented, Ron Regan Jr was babbling about something unrelated to the dog.
He's from Colorado Springs.
check out this link http://www.akc.org/nationalchampionship/summary.cfm
One of the books I have has a lot of pictures of this owner (Johnson) & his dogs, I believe he's actually a vet in CO.
Tammi, just fyi, the pile of the hair on the rear is supposed to emphasize the topline of the Old English standard. One of the key characteristics of the OES standard is that the lowest point of the dog's spine should be at their withers (shoulder). The topline arching higher at the loin to the hindquarters gives the sheepdog the "bear-like" ambling quality that everyone loves. It is explained really well here on the Old English Sheepdog Club of America's site - http://www.oldenglishsheepdogclubofamer ... pline.html
Wow, stunning dog, just adore his HUGE head and lovely square muzzle, truly a stunning example of the breed. :D
Right the dog and owner/handler are from Colorado. It's a family business with them, the guy in the ring is actually the son. There are some pics of the whole family in the Centennial photo album.
They've got some nice dogs, very square and sturdy. Their dog that won the National Specialty in 2004 is being studded out in Europe right now.
Yes know the dog that won the 2004 specialty, the judge was from OZ and know him, he is an awesome dog too and doing so well in Europe.

Just been into the centennial albums, saw all the gift bags, was it you doing the packing of them, if so, wow, I got one from a friend that was at the centennial and just love it and all the special things inside.
Geez Lisa, had I known that you were getting one I'd have put extra stuff in it!
The first day of the Centennial I came in and helped with bags at the end of the day. The second day, I worked at the registration table and did bags in between. People kept bringing more and more stuff to put in them!
This "centennial album" you guys are talking about, is it available for public viewing somewhere?
Thanks!
Right here on our very own oes photo gallery! :D

Does anybody know why so many of the OES were absent from the Eukanuba tournament?
http://www.onofrio.com/execpgm/wbsrfmbd ... AKCI105954
Here are results and a ton of the dogs were marked absent. A lot of those dogs were in Florida at other shows the week of the Eukanuba show.
