| Hi! First I must say, "welcome"! I don't think we've chatted before. Please post pictures of the pup when you have a chance. Annie is the first dog my family has that would eat straight dog food. Nutro is a great brand and that is what she eats. She's on the Senior large breed.
I might suggest putting a little bit of something in the dry food and mix it around, i.e. tsp of low fat cottage cheese, ricotta cheese or apple sauce. Emma might love it! What a cute name too I must add! |

When we got Barney at around 5-6 months old, we were told from his previous owner what food he ate (and we assumed he ate it). Well, when we got him home to our house, he wouldn't eat. It was the same brand and everything, but he just wouldn't eat it. I don't know if it was the change in location or maybe just developed a distaste for it, but we decided to put about 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese in it and see what happened. Well, 30+ pounds later, I can say that Barney liked it! We still put the cottage cheese in his food, although he'll usually eat it without it (if we run out or something)... |
