The calendars are here but. . .

They look terrific -- with one exception. I am tiny bit bummed because in the editing of the pages, I inadvertently marred one precious photo with a fine blue line. I didn't notice in my proofs but it is visible on the calendar. :( You can see it here on the image I uploaded: http://photos.oes.org/displayimage.php? ... t=0&pos=12 I'm really sorry about that. . . The kodak site lets you return any item for any reason. . . I wonder if it is worth returning the order and resubmitting it? Let me know what you think. I think it might be worth a redo. . .

It is above the dog standing shoulder deep in snow, just below the fence line. You may need to click to see the larger version of the image to see it. You don't notice it from a distance but it is visible at 12 inches. Looks like a pen line.
Hi! My check is in the mail today for the calendar. Can't wait! :)) Thanks so much!!
It's not that noticeable. I don't think anyone will mind as you have done a GREAT job with this!
that pic isnt there...Newbies photos are what you linked up....
Funny. Link works for me.

Here's the official URL: http://photos.oes.org/displayimage.php?pos=-2937

Here's the image but it is hard to see due to size:

If you squint at your screen, you can see the line. I don't even know why it happended since, if I recall correctly, I did not make any changes to this page. I will go home to take a second look at the images I uploaded to see if it is my error or if it got tweaked somehow. . .
Aww Val, its not that bad...I wouldnt worry about it...We just want the calendars...lol....Im so excited....
I see it, but I don't think it's bad at all. Heck, everyone is going to be looking at the sheepies and not the lines anyway. :) You really did do an awesome job on them.
I have to say, tho, that that pic is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Tat cutie is saying: OK, you have your picture, not come and get me out of here!
Ah-ha...I finally saw it! Doesn't look too bad from here. :)
I didn't get the collage picture either - I got a single picture of a dog in the snow. But when I clicked on your camera icon and looked at the picture from there, I didn't see a line either. I say - go with it!
Chris
Hi Val
We've all heard it before BUT for real...
My check is in the mail
Thanks...
Diane...looking forward to seeing ALL the sheepies
(Stomping feet and hands) WE WANT THE CALENDAR...WE WANT THE CALENDAR...WE WANT THE CALENDAR!!!
After squinting and turning out the lights and taking out my contacts I see the line you're talking about.

It doesn't bother me in the slightest, but if you're concerned maybe you should ask the owner of that sheepie.

I am still majorly impressed with your work!

You guys are so great! I just don't want you to be disappointed. . . That particular dog is "The Button" so I will send her a pm regarding this discussion. I could always exchange just her calendar. There was also one that was misprinted entirely that I am going to return. I'll see what others say as the day goes but if there's a consensus (and it seems like there might be) to just go ahead with the calendars as printed, I'll start stuffing envelopes tonight.

Re checks in the mail -- I actually do believe it. I have been quite pleased with the prompt payments. I am impressed and I really appreciate it.
Geez, I didn't realize that you'd be spending time stuffing & mailing. Val, you rock!

The first beer's on me. 8)
Even with the extra postage costs, it worked out cheaper to have them all sent to me for remailing because that's how we got the bulk discount. I spent alot of time calculating the costs of various different options. I am such a nerd. I have it all mapped out on an excel spreadhseet.

I'll look forward to that beer at the philly picnic!
Finally I found it. Hardly noticeable at all. Looks fine to me.

Any idea on when they will be mailed? Hubby is going to be asking me about that cheque, and the calendar is a SURPRISE for him.

Oh, BTW, he is now seriously looking into taking training classes with HIS sheepdog. Either he just wants to show him off or he doesn't like me (the wife who is a dog trainer) telling him what to do.

It is great that he will go, but I'm not sure if Bosley is trained enough to go to training classes (Does that make sense?)

But, yes, send those calendars out as it. They are beautiful!
Val, you're not a nerd unless that spreadsheet of yours has macros or even some complicated formulas!

It does have formulas (excel without formulas is like cereal without milk -- sure you can, but why?) but they are not complicated.

Val,

You've probably mentioned this before, but what is your occupation? Are you an accountant or a graphic designer...? Oh yea...do you work from home or are you like me and surf the computer all day! :) I will take you out to dinner when I come to Philly. Who else is in the area that will join us at the end of the month? I CAN'T WAIT! Boss mentioned something about me visiting a client and I was like...nay, we can just call them on the phone!

-Stacy
Loud and clear! OK! :D

I will get a replacement for The Button, though, since her dog is affected by it. I'm sad to have even the slightest mar because I love that picture. It is beautiful because you don't even see how the dog got into that position. And she does look stuck and a little bit sad.

Of course, if you get the calendars so soon, you may be sad that we opted to start with February. You'll spend the whole rest of this month wishing you could start using your calendar.
:cow:
My calendar will be hung up the second I get it! February or not! :D

Naaaah, I can start by staring at the cover!
Me, too Ron!! :D :D
Never thought of that! But the cover is very special. Great answer!

Nah, I'm a lawyer. My field is telecommunications (phone) regulation. But I've always loved computers, software, electronics, and related gear and I spend alot of time on digital hobbies (mostly doing corny things with photos, music, videos and websites). I work a regular office job but my work has me on the computer ALL DAY so I tend to check in between various assignments and projects and at home, when I am watching tv.

Can't wait for the Philly visit. I'll send along links to my favorite restaurants so you can see some options . . .
Let's move one we're not building a stadivarius! Nothing in life is perfect, and it doesn't diminish your wonderful effort one bit. :D

Thank you! And thanks everyone for your kind notes both here and with your checks. And thanks to everyone who sent extra $$ with your payments -- the overage will go to Ron for the website and I'll let you know how much that is once all payments have cleared. Now I've got to go back to printing mailing labels. . . :)

Got a pm from Val. Was not on my computer yesterday, so was not
updated on what was going on. My opinion is the blue line is not that big of a deal. Calendar looks great. Wanted her to know and everybody else my opinion since the blue line happens to be on my Maggie's picture.
I know these were preordered calendars, but if you have any extra calendars, I'll take two. LOL, the shots are wonderful, each and everyone...........and I still don't see the blue line.

sheepieboss
Can't see it val (the blue line) Ah the calendar are here yep eeeeee

have you got my cheque yet. think it takes about 5 days.

Kim & Maizie :D
Val..did you get my check too?????? Kim, I love how you say cheque...lol..very English :D
Thanks Cindy (The Button)! Nevertheless, I went ahead and ordered you a replacement copy without the blue line marring the adorable shot of Maggie.

Yes, Darcy and Kim, I received your checks! I've received the vast majority of payments already and the calendars will go into priority mail this afternoon. I'll send an update at the end of the week for any payments that have not yet been received but feel free to ask if you have any doubts.

Sheepieboss -- I ordered a couple extra for people like you! I'll send payment instructions in a pm. . . Once I run out of extras, I can still order more, but the price goes up. . .
Thanks Val!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just figured out where the calendars came from - KMart - blue line special. :D
(ha ha) George, that was really corny! lol

I am so excited. Can't wait to get my beautiful Sheepie Calendar 8) 8)

Taskers Mom, don't forget-Butterstotch is in on this caper too.

Prior to the holidays, sheepie detectives spotted her looking
at Chateau Thames Embankment as a wine gift for her boss.
Rumor has it the Chateau Thames Embankment is safely
tucked away in an undisclosed location.....

She was last spotted waiting outside the airport entrance
with James. WE have pictures of Clyde buying tickets
for 2 uprights and 2 fourleggeds to Philadelphia..........

Since this is a private message sent to you by the
sheepie detectives, no one at the forum will know.

when the detectives stopped at Krispy Creme

Wow, the things that happen when I'm away from the forum for a day and a half-- stupid migraine! It's such typical Clyde behavior to steal my credit card too. This isn't the first time.. :D

Saul better check his credit cards too!
