Trying to change dogs name, any suggestions???
These are some names I've thought of: Remy Shanzie Ella Willa Lily I CAN'T use Daisie, Dolly, Abbie, Gabi, Zoe, Leah, Amy, Emma, Taija or Lucy. These are used by family and my previous pets. I could use all the help you can give, I like names that are unique, and I do prefer a human like name. Thank you, we've got to start calling her something soon, esp since I want to work on the obedience. |

Well, being that she is a MacKenzie... There was a Mackenzie Phiilips, but Phillip is a boy's name, so maybe Filly? Of course, I'm partial to Max, so maybe Maxine? Or "My Katie" sounds like MacKenzie... Kendra Jennie (Jennifer) Kellie (Kelli, kelly) Queenie ? Joan likes Katie. Good luck, and HAVE FUN! -Ron. |
| I would have a million names to offer if she was a boy, but naming any girl, whether it was our daughter or animals has always proved difficult. I saw Shanzie on your list and I really liked that one. I have always been partial to Disney names and Shanzie made me think of Nala, Kiara, or Sarabi. (The Lion King Movie)
You did say more human like names and we named our daughter Ashlan, if we would of had another girl it would have been Caitlan. I have always liked Isabelle and call her Izzy. Does she have any special markings that you could work off of. Ex....Dottie or Patch. I am sure you will come up with something, if nothing else try searching the internet for baby names. | I had planned to call my female OES "Carly" because her hair is curly! However, we went with Tess (of New West). I also like the idea of trying to keep it sounding similar to her existing name. Have fun with your choice. |
| I will go after Shanzie, as sounds like Kenzie so she won't have any problem adjust to the new name (well, I think so)
What's the meaning of Shanzie? I am just being Curious.

| I don't know if Shanzie has a meaning, I got it from the Lion King. She was a hyena.
Queenie, is my aunt's siamese cat's name, Jennie is her daughter's name, I should say Jenilee. Also Jess, Jessie, or Jesse, are names of relatives, incase you think of that. Isabelle, (Izzy+Belle) is my cousins daughter's name. That's what is so challenging, coming up with something no has used. I have lots of boy names too, but none are able to cross over. |

| Yes I think I've finally decided it will be Remy.
We tried for a day or two, different names. I tried Shanzie, because it was the closest to Kenzie. Then I tried Remy, then Ella, and now back to Remy. I just really like how it suits her. Thanks for the suggestions. |
