Please help re:vet visit for hydrangea leaves

My 3 month old ate some hydrangea leaves yesterday. Thus morning she is not herself: eating very little, had to be coaxed to drink water, poop was different not diarrhea but about a tablespoon of slime, playful but not usual morning crazy puppy energy. Hydrangea leaves are listed as poison on the aspca site. She is not vomitting. Should I run to the vet?

I would if I were you, can't hurt and the pup sound sick to me.
Go ASAP or at least call him now. He might shed some light on this.
Godd luck, let us know the out come.
Thanks for the quick response. We're leaving now. Will post when we return.
Yes, call the vet. They may be able to even help you over the phone. If pup isn't better in a day or so, they'll probably tell you to bring him/her in for a visit.
I called the vet as I was leaving to make sure he was there (I am in Peru). He said to watch through the morning and if she vomits or has diarrhea to bring her in right away. Thanks again for your responses. This forum is such a wonderful resource. Can you imagine my anxiety (new puppy mom in foreign country).
Glad we could help and that you enjoy the forum! It's great here!
Hope your puppy is okay! I was wondering where on earth you were that you still have hydrangea leaves in January. Lima! That makes sense!! :D
Dear OES Mommy, Stacy, and Tammy,

Saffy seems better. No vomitting or diarrhea so I am not going to the vet as long as she continues to get better. She's not her usual high energy self and she must feel pretty sick. She had some water and food so those are all good signs, right? Really, guys, it was such a comfort knowing that I could reach out and someone would give me some advice. Now I am realizing that my gorgeous hydrangea plant on the terrace must go as I can't barricade it from her. Grrr...why do puppies have to explore the world with their mouths!
If she's eating and drinking with no vomiting or diareha she's probably going to be fine. It'll work it's way out of her system and she'll feel better soon. But, yes, you'll have to move the plant. LOL

Which reminds me...I've got two that I'm going to have to move this spring. The dogs were not in that area of the yard last year, but since installing the new fence they have basically the whole yard now. I'll have to re-think my landscaping.
all sounds good. Just keep a eye on her to make sure she is ok.I had to put my plants up too. Puppies will be puppies. They eat eveything they canget their months.

When Flannigan got into some weed killer I had sprayed one summer many yrs ago he did not eat for days, laid around too. You could see in his eyes he was ill. He did drank a little water but he finnaly got bett. I learned a big lesson from that.

Good Luck to you and the pup.
Deana
