Black Forest Punchbowl Cake
1 box chocolate cake mix and required ingredients 2 lg. boxes chocolate instant pudding and required amount of milk 1 lg. tub Cool Whip 2 cans cherry pie filling chocolate sprinkles Bake cake according to directions in a 9 x 13 pan. Let cool then cut into 1 inch squares Make pudding according to directions In a punchbowl (or large deep bowl) layer ½ cake, 1 can pie filling, ½ pudding, ½ cool whip. Sprinkle some chocolate sprinkles over top. Repeat with remaining ingredients, reserving a few cherries for garnish on top. Can also be made with spice cake, apple filling and butterscotch pudding or several other combinations. |
