Need dessert idea

Mom's making sauerbraten for Christmas dinner and I'm in charge of dessert. (I got off easy this year!) I'm tired of pumpkin pie and would like to try something different, but need some ideas since life has been so busy lately I can barely think straight.

Help! :D

I think pumpkin pie should be left alone just the way it is. LOL
How about a jello deseart.

firt layer
Lime jello with fruit cocktail 13x9 glass dish
let set

next layer is sour cream and walnut

top layer cherry or stawberry jello with crushed pineapple ( drained)
do not use the juice
pour on top
back into the frig. to set

looks pretty red white green
tastse is great
Geez, you guys are quick!

Jello would be good, but the salad is an carrot/pineapple/orange jello salad, so I think that would be too much jello, LOL. It sounds good, though, maybe I'll make it anyway!
How about a black forest cake? Or strudel? Or cheesecake? All very easy to make and all would be good. You could make mini cheesecakes and flavor them with all kinds of stuff.
A bag of Oreos and a gallon of milk.

For no work, Baker's Square pie. Perhaps French Silk or something that isn't fruit. Or make a cake from a box. How about....upside down German chocolate. Reallyreally rich.

1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped pecans
1 stick of butter
8 oz. of cream cheese
1 lb. of powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350. Spray 9 x 13 baking pan with Pam. Spread coconut and pecans on bottom of pan. Mix cake according to package directions and pour into pan. Cream butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar ( use a food processor for this and do it in 2 batches--it is really thick). Blob onto cake.

Bake according to directions on box (or until done). Test by sticking a toothpick in the cake.
That sounds great, Paula! May need to try it. Another REALLY easy yummy dessert that everyone seems to like (if you like chocolate):

1 prepared graham cracker pie crust
chocolate pudding (any kind, instant, Kozy shack...)
bananas (optional)

Put sliced bananas in the pie crust. Spoon in pudding. Put in refrigerator. Serve!
Annie's Mom... you just reminded me of another easy dessert!

Eclair Pie

1 Box of Graham Crackers
1pkg Instant Pudding (plus whatever that needs)
1 Jar Chocolate Frosting (microwavable jar)

In a cheapy aluminum lasagna pan(or similar size pan) place Graham Crackers in a single layer to cover bottom.
Top with Pudding. Spread evenly.
Top with another layer of Graham Crackers.
Microwave Jar of Frosting til it can be poured out easily.
Pour Frosting over Graham Crackers. Spread evenly.
Chill.

Enjoy!
