hi ya

i've gotta go the pet wholesalers tomorrow (fri) to get einy a new water bowl (hes really scared of the sheepie in his bowl lol)

they love him there so i'll walk him up and can ask the lady there about it if you want i know they hand out samples (bit pricy on international postage from the uk though lol)

they are really honest there and will tell you their experiances with the food most of them have dogs and they really helped me find one that was right for einy and his sensitive tum

Hi Zoe,

Thanks so much! I would appreciate it if you and
Einy could ask them what they think of the product.

I would really value their opinion as I only know one
person who currently uses it.
Thanks for the
offer on the samples, I bet the US office could provide some
if we decide to change. Very nice of you to offer!
As to shipping costs, it is pricey- so Bogart and I would
just have to hop the Pond and visit.lol

Its sweet to have Einy as our personal shopper !
Can't wait to hear the scoop (no pun intended  ) on
the Burns food.

Have fun shopping tomorrow !
well back again

i managed to ask the lady inbetween her asking my about sheepie coz her partner really wants one

anyway she says its good it only has natural ingredients so what you see is what you get

some of them only have 4 things in them

she would recomend that or something like nutro

she gave me a dog health leaflet from burns i can post it to you if you like

Thanks Zoe.

We saw our vet today, Bogart has bilateral ear infections.
I took a printout on the Burns food to the vet,
for now we are going to stay with the Canidae and
stop treats.

Appreciate you asking about the food, it seems like
a simple formula so I thought it might help to
have less ingredients to be allergic too.
Poor Bogie!! :(

Hope the food switch helps him, Zahra!

Thanks Tammy.

He slept most of the day, now he's awake in sick bay
watching TV. Poor guy his little ears were so hot this am
they could have melted the snow!

He has a good appetite , so I'm thankful for that!
How's Bogart doing today, Zahra? I've been thinking about him!

Hi Tammy, thanks so much for checking on Bogart.
He has a bit more energy today and his ears feel a
normal warm as opposed to the blazing hot temperature
we observed the other day. He's on the Otomax ear drops twice a day
so I hope that tackles the infection so he is better for
Christmas.

Its so hard for our sheepies when they can't tell you whats
wrong. Luckily we sheepie owners spend a lot of time with them.
The trick is to pick up on the symptoms as soon as you can.
I know you're taking good care of him! He'll be better soon. Give him hugs & extra treats from me! :D
hope he feels better soon
With so few ingredients you are certainly minimizing the risk of allergic reactions, but what about nutritional content?
on an earlier post i had mentioned that boo suffered from skin problemsand we couldnt get to the bottom of it spent a fortune at the vets still no luck. Then we decided to change her food we put her on james wellbeloved and since then we havent had any problems touch wood... now ive probably gone and jinxed it
Joan-

Sorry to hear about Bogart's ears :( I get many ear infections and sometimes this will help: soak a cotton ball in sweet oil, insert gently in ear. If the cotton ball is a concern just use a dropper. Feel better Bogart, ear infections are the worst

Holly
I hope Bogart is feeling better! :( The Gooch is prone to ear infections and I have the Muppets on a food called Natural Life Venison. It is an alergy food! :D I also have found that adding yogurt in with the kibble everyday has helped tremendously!!! :D

I really think the yogurt helps...I had stopped adding it after his last infection and low and behold...another cropped up! 8O So now it's yogurt everyday! :D

AND THEY LOVE IT!!!!

Kisses to Bogart!
Yoghurt is fantastic, my girls have it every day too. Kelsey because of food allergy to beef, that's when I started on it for the probiotics so both girls get it every day

Thanks so much for the replies and concern.

He has improved on the Otomax.

Thanks to everyone for the yogurt suggestion, we'll add it in!

Boobaby-Wish we could get James Wellbeloved in the States-
I hear its excellent!

Willowsprite-Our concern too, we are staying on the Canidae with
no treats for now.

Happy Holidays !! Safe travel!! :D :D
i had to smile at this

after asking abour this food for you it turns out that einy himself has some intollerance

i had him at the vet the tuesday before christmas xrays etc thought he had eatten a toy turn out it was a really bad build up of gas most like likey caused by a food intollerance (thank goodness for pet insurance)

so now my einy is on burns himself lol

hes a different dog before he suffered will vomiting, hyperactivity (well beyond normal puppy hyperness) etc

now he perfect not sick only has his normal 15 mins of hyperness when toys are brought to you and all his other functions seem back to normal

before i had to cut out all his treats (you know they like their treats) but burns do a treat thet is just the dog buscuit but bigger so einy is happy again coz he has his treats back and he doesn't know any difference

i'm so glad that you asked the questions about this food coz other wise i could have been struggling to keep einy well for months or even years or feeding him the reallt really expensive food the vet gives me for him

thanks for starting this thread it help einy so much

i hope bagart id well

thnks again

zoe and a happy well einy

Zoe!!!!

Thanks so much for your note! So happy the Burns Nutrition
is working out for Einy! So glad to hear he is better!
What formula of Burns is he on? My groomer has all
of her pets (dogs/cats) on Burns and they are really doing well.
We haven't switched Bogart at this point, but its an option
if the ear infections keep up.

Thank you for asking, he is much better and watching
an old movie on Turner Classic pictures, the Pink Panther-
its one of his favorites!

Happy New Year to you and yours and of course, Einy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zahra (forgot to log in now that I'm 50  )
hes on the chicken and rice version

einy has really bad ear wax build up we have a cleaner from the vet for them but i'll keep an eye on them and see if they get any beter on burns
