After reading the ordeal with Integra and Momoto I thought this post was of interest to all.
In the tech section of a magazine I was reading today there is a write-up on the GlobalPetFinder. It text-messages your dog's (or cats) location to your cell phone if he strays too far.
www.globalpetfinder.com ($350 US).
The coverage area map shows it is weak in the West. |

| I love the idea of it. Too bad they can't do it microchip style since I know a lot of us keep the collars off our ssheepis because of the matting! |
What a great concept!
It's $350 plus $35 activation and $18-$20 a month.
Global Pet Finder GPS Tracking Device for Pets
Currently (12/14/2005) unavailable from Amazon.com.. but you can check just to make sure
As a favor, if you're reading this and you've check and it is available again, would you please let me know? I'll update this article. Thanks! |
| It's a great idea! I agree with Jill, though. I wish it could be done via microchip. That collar is so big. But, if one of my babies were lost, I d sure be glad I had it. |
