indestructible stuffed toy?

Hendrix's favorite toy was ripped apart when a family friend decided to use it as a tug of war toy. Now, I can't find it!

I'm getting sick of buying him stuffed toys that are shredded in minutes. Does anyone suggest a great stuffed toy? Hendrix isn't really interested in squeky toys like balls, etc.

Thank you in advance!

I've never seen a stuffie that was indestructable. My solution was to buy them in bulk, cheaply, from places like yard sales & good will. When I pay $2-$3 for a whole box of stuffed animals, I don't mind when they rip them apart.
Is Hendrix really rough with them, or is it just the usual wear and tear? Barney's stuffies usually last a pretty long time, and I don't know if it is what the toy is or if Barns is just not too rough with them. His Shrek toy from Petsmart has lasted a really long time and is soft, but made from a tough fabric...
Those toys in the shape of people that look like those car sponges also seem to last a pretty long time...
Clyde rips everything too so we go through lots of toys-- he's so strong that one jerk of his head in tug of war usually ends in disaster for the toy! The closest, nearly indestructible toy to a stuffie that I've found are those made by bamboo. This store has a selection of them but I've seen them at other Web sites too: Bamboo Toys They aren't as soft as a stuffed animal but the little man shaped one is a pretty good substitute.
Panda isnt hard on her stuffies, she just sucks them. She still manages to put holes in them though....we have surgery on her babies once a month. The waiting room is filled, but what do you want...those stuffed animals come in without insurance and dont pay the bill either...
Ha ha. Our waiting room is full too! Actually, we just have a gorilla and a lobster at the moment. I'm hoping Cam's mom will want to sew them up when she's here for Christmas.

Those stuffies of yours are such charity cases! I hope they don't give you attitude for the long wait!
The rooster is the most unappreciative of them all...his wing was torn in half and half of his guts were ripped out...Panda has taken after daddy and become an emt...she brought me all the stuffing and the rooster at 2 different times....with the look of please make him better...AND THEN that audacious rooster after he was all better, just squeeked at me.....of all the things....can you believe it???
Nothing of importance to add except to say I have always loved the word "stuffies." It's just so cute.

*sigh* the life of an ER surgeon...never appreciated for the work you do...
The title of this thread made me laugh.
Sorry.... I don't think there is one.
The uprights who live or visit at our house seem to be the ones to destroy the stuffed "babies". That's what we call them and when we tell Annie, "go get a baby", she goes to get one. So cute! She's very gentle with her babies so I guess it depends on your doggie. The uprights tend to play tug of war with them and pull them apart. I find that old towels or socks work better for tug-o-war. However, she does have one of those soft toys in the shape of a man that has held up pretty well. He's going on 3 yrs and I haven't had to sew him up yet
Hendrix puts his paws on the toy and clamps down on his teeth and pulls at it, trying to pull out all the stuffing. Sometimes he sucks on them, but it's only the toys that survive that he sucks on.

I've heard canvas toys are good, but many of them have projectiles like ears, tails, arms, etc. As soon as those are ripped off, boom there goes the toy!

Canvas punctures fast. I thought canvas would last longer for us so I bought Clyde a little dog. One bite and shake and the dog's innards were all over the living room! Seriously, try the Bamboo guy. If he likes it, your prayers will answered. I admit that ours isn't Clyde's favorite toy but we've had it for months and it barely looks used except for some dirt-- definitely no rips or tears.
i will definitly try the bamboo toy, thanks for everyones input!
WOW someone that invents and indestructable stuffie is going to be rich and famous
Abby has only chewed one thing in her time here, that was a canvas bag. I kept putting it up, she got it down... lol... she chewed it to bits, and seemed very content about it.
