relaxing pills

is it safe to give OES relaxing pills before they go on a plane? I saw them at petco, and not sure if theyre safe? has anyone tried giving their dogs one?

Sure! But of course it does depend on what they are!

Some vets prescribe mild sedatives others suggest Benadryl. Unfortunately, at the moment I can't recall the names of the vet prescriptions notr the dosages of benadryl (which is diphenhydramine HCl (that is H C L ) generically).

I'm sure someone else will chime in!
Acepromozine is one drug that is prescribed to relax dogs. I've given it to my dog Lucy because of her extreme fear of thunderstorms. It worked great with no side effects.

My biggest concern in buying the over the counter pet stuff is if it actually would work. For something as stressful as a plane ride, I'd want to make sure to use something proven to be pretty effective.
