How did he do that?

Two days ago Beau was outside in a fenced in patio/pool area. I heard him barking (what he usually does when he wants back in) to my surprise, Beau was ontop of the patio table. I still don't know how he got up there. He was barking because he could not get down.

The patio table is the round glass top from the Martha Stewart collection. All the chairs were pushed in. Does anybody have any idea how he could jump that high?

bet he got on one of the chairs, worked his way up to the table, did not know how to get down. Just a thought.
When we first got our Jake, he could jump up onto a 4 1/2 or 5 foot stone wall from a standstill.

I vote for he was just surprised that it was a little wiggly and see-through, and that unnerved him.
The table was totally snow covered. I didn't see any marks (paws prints) on the chairs and they were all pushed in to the table.

Wow Ron, 5' from a stand still! That's amazing! 8O I wish I could have seen Beau get on that table. I know he takes a running leap on the sofa. Maybe I'll get him into agility when he turns alittle older and his bones mature.
I am always amazed at what they can do, OES are great at agility and I love watching them. Our first OES was a male that could scramble over 6 foot backyard fences. Always amazed me how he even got over, always had a call at work to say monty was out AGAIN 8O Problem stopped there when I was a stay at home mom, a happy sheepie, never once did he try it again.
Brie ended up stuck in the kitchen sink, as a puppy, front paws in one sink, back paws in the other sink, still trying to work out how she got there in the first place as we have really high kitchen benches, I don't think I will ever solve that mystery!
Sky does that kind of thing all the time, usually our kitchen table though
Wow Stacey,

I bet you were shocked to see that! Do you have to help Sky get down off the table? Beau did not know how to get down off the table.
Something to put on my "thankful" list - my sheepies don't climb on tables (unless it's the grooming table). My last foster, Dudley, was a jumper, though. 5' fences were no problem for him.
No, we just calmly say Get down, and she does. Instead of getting mad when I saw her do it the first time, I just laughed and wanted to get a picture. LOL
I don't yell at her to get down because I don't want to scare her and risk her getting hurt in a rush to get down. That has made her think it is ok though...lol....
MY parents' sheepie jumps up onto her grooming table, which is at least as high as our patio table, so I'm sure Beau just jumped and was like, uh oh, what do I do next?

I would just help him down...my parents's dog either will jump back off the table herself or ask my dad to lift her down (spoiled doggie!)

Luckily Barney doesn't know how to control his jumps yet. He could easily jump over the baby gates in the kitchen if he could coordinate the front half with his back half!
One of our therapy dogs jumped up on the conference room table. She is a 150 lb. Newfoundland! Naughty girl!
I think it's odd that no has already suggested that it could just be magic...

Lol. It would be magical if Clyde could get in the car by himself let alone a patio table!

Thats Fatties trick. Put her front paws on the backseat and then turns to you as if to say, "Now Mommy put my Butt in the truck"
Bunk will jump the coffee tables ot jump on them if she can't get around or she is avoiding Rainger Girl.
LOL, Sky loves to get in the car.... she loves to go to the vet and get up on their counters too
She must be part cat.
Jump? I know Jasper jumps 4' fences with no problem. :(
My kelsey use to jump up on the grooming table, sometimes she misjudged and went right over the top and landed on the other side 8O
Too old now mummy has to give her a helping hand
