Short Introduction from the suburb of Philadelphia, PA

Good Morning! I am a new member here and just wanted to introduce myself. I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. I currently have one Old English Sheepdog, Fred, two Golden Retreivers, Owen and Christian, six cats, Bailey, Theo, Topeka, Madison, Prescott and Hallock, one rabbit Sump and two cockatiels, Screech and Peter. All of my pets have either been rescued or adopted from a shelter. And yes I have a very "peaceable kingdom", the rabbit loves to run in the yard with the dogs and naps with the cats. I adopted my OES from the SPCA one year ago. Fred is seven years old and a very welcomed and loved member of my family. I look forward to reading about your dogs and will be posting from time to time with any questions I may have. Looking forward to a long and happy relationship with my new OES friends on this board. Thanks and I hope your upcoming holidays are happy and blessed.

Hi and Welcome!
Your house sounds like ours, many animal friends, adopted or rescued and full of love, how perfect! Our OES pup Mallory was adopted from the pound this past August.
Hope your holidays are happy days too. And hope you enjoy visiting this board as much as I do. You'll get LOTS of great info here. Don't forget to post some pics, I'm an OES picture addict. lol I think we have many pic addicts on the board!

Welcome to the forum.

If you need help with pics, there are instuctions in the picture section and when all else fails, cry at Ron. He's soft and may very well do it for you.
Welcome to the forum, fellow Pennsylvanian! There are quite a few of us here, and some in your own backyard. Fred is adorable, as are Owen and Christian, but, of course, we're partial to sheepies around here!
Chris
Great pictures!! What gorgeous dogs!
Great pics, and you've done a wonderful job on Fred's coat! Beautiful!
Thanks everyone for the kind words about "my guys". Fred has been an absolute joy to have. He came into my life after I had to have my sweet dog Henry put to sleep. Although he will never replace Henry he is definitely leaving his own paw prints on my heart. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to co exist with him. He was placed in the SPCA because his old family had a new baby and the baby was allergic to him. From what I was told his old family tried everything to right the situation, even shaving off his beautiful coat. I can tell that he was very loved by his old family, as he is now by his new family. He is a joy to have around and I take great pride in him and the other members of my animal family. I will be sharing more pics with you. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy viewing your's.
Welcome to the forum!!!

Beautiful doggies!
Just had a look at the photos you uploaded , fred is lovely & so nice to see the wonderful job you have done with his coat, the rest of your fur kids are wonderful too. Love the name screech, very appropriate for a cockatiel. We have wild ones around us and boy they are noisy!! Look forward to hearing more about all your animal family. :D
Hi Again,

It just made my heart feel good to see so many happy and healthy looking furballs and feathered one too. They are all so beautiful! Lucky you don't live closer or I'd beg to take Bailey home with me..he looks so much like my beloved Oscar that passed away 2 years ago at the age of 21. Yup, hard to let them cross the Rainbow Bridge but we can take solace that they lived a good life, with people that loved them the short time we had the pleasure of knowing them.

You may want to post some memories of your boy in the Rainbow Bridge forum.

Just had a chance to view your pictures. What lovely babies! Your Topeka looks a lot like my Einstein. :D

Fred's coat is beautiful! He sure looks happy with you!! Your goldens are beautiful dogs, too.

I love that Sump gets to roam the yard! I had a rabbit like that, too. My Cockapoo loved him to death. He thought the rabbit was his own personal responsiblity. He mothered him all the time. If he got what the cockapoo thought was too far away from the house, he'd herd the rabbit back. They were so cute together....eating, sleeping, playing. :D

Thanks for sharing your family with us! They're all beautiful! :D
Hi and Welcome to the Forum,

What great group of fur kids you have! :D I currently have (Beau OES) that is a womping 1 year old.
Yes welcome! We just had our sheepdogs up in New Hope / Lambertville area a couple of weeks ago when it hit 70 degrees. If I could have charged $1 for everyone who stopped to meet them or take their photo I could have made a mint. So, you gotta try it sometime!
Thanks all for the nice welcome and comments. I am glad that I found this board so I could have contact with people who share one of my interest which is animals, and more specific to this board Old English Sheepdogs.
Since the holidays are quickly approaching, and since New Hope is relatively close to me, I may have to take the guys down to New Hope to earn some extra cash. :D
I have enjoy reading the other post on this board, and have really enjoyed viewing your pics.
