Update on Charlie

Just an update on our " dog in pain ". Charlie came down with infectious arthritis , a condition which developed over the summer ( in hindsight he limped slightly after our long Saturday morning walk ) and ended just last week at the vet. He was in great pain as the last time I was home he walked up to me at the door , stuck his head between my knees and howled like we have never heard. Charlie has always run like a fool , fake charging , barking , etc., when I came home. The vet said he has never seen such a stoic animal. Life is not good right now , as I never got to say my goodbye's , the kids praying and crying , and no " big goof " to greet ya when you get home. I want to thank those who answered my post. Good-bye Charlie

I am so sorry. Maybe you should gather photos of Charlie together and make a memeorial scrapbook.
I have said my goodbyes to one or two or three of my furry pals. It is never easy. Time heals some, but you always remember. So make the memories good ones.
Maybe another furry friend will come and help you work through any grief, when you are ready. I always have to wait a while befor I look for a new dog. It sort of seems disloyal or something. Lost a couple of my 2 legged friends lately and I am having the same trouble getting over their sudden absence.
If you want you can always write up something at the Rainbow Bridge Topic. Others have outlined their dog's life and posted pictures.
May you find solace. Take care.
so sorry to hear that!
people comes to the world alone, and will leave the world alone.no matter how you treasure something,it can't be with you forever.that's the way life goes on...
to love or to be loved are both the luckiest thing in the world.and i may say,you are one of the luckiest guy in the world.

i don't know if i expressed myself clearly,it's a bit difficule for me to write in english.so any way, take care.
I am terribly sorry about the loss of your Charlie, you have my condolences. How terribly sad for you and your family. Hugs from me.

A memorial scrapbook sounds like a good idea to keep wonderful memories of Charlie.

Again I'm sorry to hear the outcome and losing him must be very difficult for your family at this time. A visit to the forum of When is Enough ..Enough? may help ease some of that pain.
