Playing with his food.....

So for weeks now, Pooh has decided he likes to "taunt" his food before eating it. It was cute with his milkbones.....he'll throw them across the room with a swing of his neck, then chase after them, and bat them with his paws all the while "pouncing" on them. This morning, he REALLY wanted a peice of Banana. Big mistake. Messy paws, messy floor. LOL.

Lol....Josh, remember, hard food only....Panda does that with cookies and ice cubes.....her one annoying habit is to take a mouthful of food, walk 10 steps, drop the food, and then pick it up and eat it....
So cute! Silly sheepie! :D
OH, my! Bosley loves to bat stuff around, too, like a cat. No bananas for him! LOL
Sounds like Barney...This morning I gave him his milkbone and he tossed it against the back door and it (the milkbone, not the door) shattered from the force.

He does this with non food too. We've found his gorilla in the sink before from this very behavior!
Hi,

Well this story had me chuckling and you know on the bright side good thing you didn't give him honey..as we all know Pooh Bears/Dogs love honey.

You know the pouncing thingie is a cat like quality...must be hilarious to watch him do this.

Taken out of context, this is really hilarious. I have a vision of a large primate sitting in the sink unable to get out.

Close...just downsize to a football sized stuffed gorilla that grunts when stepped on...and unable to get out of the sink!
I pictured the same thing!

I think Pooh learned this from watching the cat do it. She bats his face all the time, and lucky for him, no claws.

He loves to do it to ice cubes too!
My sheepies do the paw batting too and we dont have any cats...I thought it was just a sheepie thing as our chow never did this.
I love it...they can play ball all by themselves...its a hoot to watch.
Sam would do that with his bones.......real bones. I lived in fear of him throwing one into a window or television screen. I miss the big goober.
I WISH Murphy would slow down enough to bat around his treats! 8O Sometimes I'm not even sure I gave him a treat he swallows it so fast...then waits under Gooch for his crumbs!
