Greetings from Michelina and Chelsea

Hello there everyone. My name is Michelina and I'm from New Jersey. I'm in the process of moving to Florida and kidnapping my mom's OES, Chelsea!!! They just don't know it yet, that's all...hehe!

I have tremendous love for the oes breed, and have loved them since I was a child. My great aunt introduced me to the breed when I was 4 years of age, and I was just bowled over, ever since. My mother took in 2 OES when I was 10 years of age. So we've had some sheepers in the family. I myself, have never owned a sheepie as of yet...

I know it's hard for me to describe where the love of the breed truly stems from. It's a genuine feeling. I look at them and I have an immediate smile. Watching the way they act, and the tricks they pull make me laugh. I'm always amazed every day at the stories people tell me. I'm proud to say that I'm a sheepie lover, and I try my best to talk to people as much as I can in my free time. I adore sheepdog people, because all of us are truly unique. We share one giant common bond...And truthfully, I feel right at home knowing there are so many wonderful sheepie people out there that can relate to my feelings.

It's because of this burly, hysterical, fun loving, shaggy breed that I have become what I am today. I haven't turned back since.

Also, I like helping OES rescues. I love knowing I can help make a difference, and I'm just one person. There are sooooo many caring and compassionate people out there that I tip my hat to in rescue. Often putting the OES before themselves. I love knowing that other people out there REALLY CARE about the welfare of this breed.

Chelsea, my soon to be roomate, has been adopted out from OES rescue of Central Florida just a few months ago. She turned 8 in June, and had a HORRIBLE past. She was abused over most of her life. It disgusts me to know that there are people out there that are pure evil. Every time I look at her I just want to squeeze her to let her know people do really love her. Chelsea is an amazing sheepie with an amazing story. I hope to bring her to the NEOESR picnic this upcoming June so she can meet everyone this time around....

Enough about myself and Chelsea! I really wanted to introduce myself properly, and learn how to use this site...LOL

Welcome to the forum, Michelina! :D

Thanks for sharing some of your story and introducing us to Chelsea! :)
Love to see some photos!
Welcome Micehlina and Chelsea! We would really like pictures (we're spoiled here at OES.org!) I can't wait to hear more about your fluffy friend!

Karen :)
I have NO clue how to paste photos....Any help would be great...It would be great if someone can private message to me.
I'll add it once I know what I am doing...lol

Thank you! I'm glad to be here... Been a member for a while, but I usually look at the posts, I don't post a lot myself...

This site is amazing! Plenty of resourses from A-Z about Sheepdogs/dog Care....
I absolutely love it!

Hi Michelina....yup, this breed makes you smile and keep you laughing. Welcome..
How to post a picture on the forum
The first step is to go to the picture gallery ( http://photos.oes.org/ ) and upload your picture(s).

Those instructions are here: http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?p=45687#45687

After the pictures are approved (Which can take anywhere from mere minutes to several hours), you will be linking to the files stored by the gallery software. To link or "embed" one of the pictures that you've uploaded to the photo gallery, you'll be using the image tags "[img]and[/img]"

At the gallery, find the picture you uploaded and click on the tumbnail so that you are displaying the normal, or maximum 6" picture. Scroll down a little bit to see the file info. One of the pieces of info will be something called "Forum BBCode". Simply copy that code into your post here at the forum, and you're all set!!!

If you don't see the file info, just above the picture there should be an icon of the letter "i". Click on that and then you should be able to see the file info.

Good luck!

The tags will only work with photos that are hosted by photos.oes.org now. This is to prevent people from linking to photos that may not be available, or may be deleted, leaving the forum with ugly little red X's all over the place. So if the forum is up, and linked-to pictures should be available as well. Thanks for understanding!
I uploaded the photos into 1st Other dogs??? The album is called Chelsea Darling. I don't know when it will show up...
