Goulash traditional Belgian style

Goulash Belgian style

Ingredients:
-cubes of beef/ beef tips
-1-2 onions
-1-2 bell peppers (any color)
-1 can of peeled tomatoes
-1 can of mushrooms ( already chopped ones in water of whatever they come in)
-1 toe of garlic, or more if you prefer
-1-2 small cans of tomato paste
-salt, pepper, cayenne pepper

Instructions:
-cook the onion in a deep stew pot till slightly golden
-add meat cubes
-add salt, cayenne pepper, and pepper to your liking
-cook until cubes are lightly brown ( they wont be cooked at this point)
-add the bell pepper and let simmer for 20 minutes, stir occasionally
-add the peeled tomatoes and mushrooms
-let simmer for 30 minutes, stir occasionally
-add the garlic and tomato paste ( of sauce looks too thick add some water, I generally don’t do this because mine come out fine)
-let simmer for 30-40 minutes

Notes:
- you can make a big batch and freeze it in small containers. It lasts for a while in the freezer so you have easy ready to go meals on hand. Re heat in the microwave after letting it thaw during the day. Best served with french fries.
