ticks on my girl

| Hi JaniB,
We are in southeastern Ma and really bothered by ticks as well. We also are using frontline, but the ticks are travelling in especially on the paws, around ears, and back of the legs. We now have Bogart in a slightly longer puppy cut, but found the shorter cut easier to find and eliminate the ticks this summer. Wish I had a solution for you, but will keep searching. Of course after last winter, a one way ticket to Hawaii may be an option!!  |
| You may have to attack the problem by limiting where she can go outside. Also cutting grass shorter, keeping her away from shrubs and brush, etc. She's not going to understand, but right now none of you need to be having ticks inside too.
As much as I hate doing it, perhaps spraying the yard after she's gone in for the day, allowing the chemicals to dissapate for 8 or so hours before the dog is allowed back outside. Frankly, I'd have to be real fed up with picking ticks before I'd spray, but that's just me. |
| OMG how awful! I've never even seen a tick in real life... that would drive me nuts!
