Doggy Daycamp at PetSmart

Have any of you tried the new dog daycamp Petsmart has? Our area got one about 3 weeks ago, so I am going to try it out with Max. I have a coupon for a free day long play. It looks really neat, it is a huge space with 4 areas that can be opened or closed off if they need to separate smaller dogs. I like that it is so open and clean. The floors look like a wood surface, but not super hard. The place where Max has been going has rubber mats and he is totally filthy when I pick him up from the residue on the mats! Also, they offer weekend hours, which my daycare doesn't do. Another difference is at Petsmart they don't enforce a nap, and at my daycare they kennel them from 12 noon - 2 pm. I don't think it matters much with Max, and he'd probably prefer not having to go in a kennel anyway!!

Hi. One is opening soon in the Chicago area which I've heard looks very nice. If your pup likes other dogs, there's no harm in trying it out. Since the daycares are brand new, they are probably very clean. Petwsmart is such a large corporation with a lot to lose if they don't take care of their facilities. Try it out and let us know how it goes!
