| I will be happy to help someone with this baby if they need me to. I am going to talk to the hubby about a furever home tonight, but our bed is almost full at night right now |
| What a pretty girl! I hope you can take her. |
| I AM GOING TO GET HER SATURDAY AT 1:00. SORRY I AM SCREAMING, BUT I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!
I hope you are all right about two are better than one! |
| YAY!!! Time for a bigger bed |
| Betsy, how GREAT! Can't wait to hear more about her! Are you keeping her name as Sheena? Congratulations!
Chris |
That is so great!!!
I am so happy for both of you. I agree that she looks like she would be very grateful for a safe, loving home. . . |
| Well, I convinced the hubby we were only fostering. As I wrote in another post, 24 hours and he will be hooked. No chance of giving her up then. |
| That is so great!!!!
You know what's better than 2? THREE!! Good luck and keep us updated. Hmm, Sheena, the demo dog in our last obedience class was named Sheena and she's pretty timid, maybe it's the name. |
| Oh, the poor little girl! Chris |
| There rules are that with strays they keep them for x amount of days before adoption. They do this just in case the owner come after them. I am scared that they will, and that will just break my heart! If she has already been gone a week, they undoubtedly aren't really concerned about her. |
| Yippee! Yippee! Yippee!! I'm so glad you're getting her!! Poor girl look so tired and lonely. You'll restore her faith in humanity and they're be a twinkle in her eyes again soon!! |
| Oh Betsy that is wonderful! Kisses to Sheena and you! |
| Good for you Betsy! A wonderful and dedicated lady in Alabama was working hard to find someone that would assist her. She said Sheena came in as a stray, is very thin, matted, but has been groomed before... shy, afraid. There are a couple additional pictures that weren't on PetFinder. Just drop me a note if you want to see them and I'll forward them to you. I wouldn't worry about her being claimed. And if by chance she is, then maybe she is a cherished pet that had been lost or stolen. It's amazing to see the transformation of a rescue from matted and dirty to clean again. It's like they go from feeling totally worthless to feeling like a puppy with a bright future. It really shows in their personality. Thanks again for giving Sheena a chance. Go slow with her to build the mutual trust. She's a lucky sheepie-girl... thanks for making a difference! |
| Thanks guys for all of the support. It really means alot. I am probably really going to need it over the next few weeks. |
| Betsy, Betsy, rah rah rah! Yeah for Betsy!!!!! |
| Yay Yay! I think your Foster "card" trick is very good, I'm keeping it under my hat!! Congrats Betsy! |
| Yay Yay! I think your Foster "card" trick is very good, I'm keeping it under my hat!! Congrats Betsy! |
| Well, it appears that it was not meant to be. Her original owners claimed her yesterday. |
| Oh, that must be disappointing. . . but it is (presumably) good news for Sheena and you score big Karma points for your willingness to help her. . . That you were willing to open your home and your heart to her is a wonderful thing. |
| Oh, Betsy, I'm so sorry! I know how much you were looking forward to adopting her.
I would love to have been there when her owner picked her up. I would have grilled them as to why it had taken so long for them to get her, how she got out in the first place. I just pray she's now safe and sound. Chris |
| Betsy,
I'm really glad Sheena found her parents, did they say why it took them so long? You must be disappointed, but I'm sure there will be another sheepie baby for you! |
