easy microwave meals?

OK Guys!

I'm partially living in the new house- we're over there every night working on the renovation. We need to eat, but all I have is a working microwave, bathroom sink, and refrigerator/freezer. Can anyone give me ideas for easy microwave meals that are filling (other than the microwaveable meals in the freezer isle?) HELP!

Karen :)

Do You have a crock pot? You could do just about anything in a crock pot....
I'd go buy one if you don't, a housewarming gift to yourselves...lol...
I love the macaroni and cheese from Country Crock. It is in a microwavable tub. If you also had veggies, it wouldn't be a bad meal. Broccoli and spinach are great in the microwave. A toaster oven would really expand your options. . .
I know you can make scrambled eggs with those egg beaters in the microwave, probably could do it with real eggs...

You can do baked potatoes...

I'm not really a microwave girl so my suggestions are limited...Good luck!
How long will you only have the microwave as your cooking source?

Hope that helps!
You could make big batches of stuff at your old place, freeze them into portions and then microwave them at your new place. You can leave the frozen packages in the fridge all day so that they defrost and reheat quickly when you're hungry. That's what I do here so that my husband can just reheat when I'm away on business. We find that lasagna, chili, and jambalaya reheat really well.
Thanks for all the help guys. I think we've got about another 2 weeks until the appliances can all be reinstalled and everything is ok to walk on. I went grocery shopping yesterday and got a lot of microwave friendly foods. I made a hotdish at the apartment with the hopes of portioning and freezing it... It didn't survive my husband coming back  Poor guy needs to stop skipping lunch!!

Now.. anyone have any tips for making friends with the neighbors standoffish akita?

Umm...bribe him with dog biscuits and hotdogs? lol Jasper LOOOVES hotdogs - about the only people food he'll eat. :)
Akitas quite commonly do not get along with other dogs... that might take some work.... or an extra fence.
For microwave meal...microwave pizza I know it sucks, but I am trying to help.
Maybe a T-Bone Steak for the Akita. My nephews Akitas are Psycho.
His Male Aiko stayed over and attacked all of my dogs viciously.
After being around them for a while he made friends with Pepsi because Pepsi was submissive.
Good Luck!

Just last night I microed a couple of chicken breasts that were marinated in lemon juice and spices. The trick is to turn the microwave power way down. I got them out just in time, sliced thin, put over a big romaine lettuce salad along with thin slices of a hard cheese and cesear dressing. Sprinkle with parmesean cheese. Nice hunk of hearty bread helped male species fill the crevices. If male needs more food, a big bowl of hearty vegetable and bean or sausage soup as first course. Soup takes edge off big appetites you you can make the second course lighter.

Also, the male here really likes the frozen meatballs. Heat with prepared spaghetti sauce to make a meatball sandwich along with a salad or soup.

It's getting cooler so my mind is into soups lately.
And..........what about meat loaf? Does fine in microwave. Also fish, especially salmon. Any chicken recipe with a sauce would be nice. Veggies are wonderful in micro. With the winter squashes appearing, they'b be nice with a maple syrup glaze.

As for grains, you can make instant rice almost edible by cooking in chicken broth with other flavorings (such as Greek seasoning, wink).
