| I recently heard that it is not good for the dogs to have rabies shot once a year. The shot can last up to three years. We're thinking about starting to give our dogs rabies shot every three years instead of one. In some states, they gave their dogs rabies shots every three years. |
| My wife & I lost our dog Rita to a rabies vaccination:
It was summer in 2002 when our 3 dogs killed a groundhog in our backyard. We called our vet who, at the time, was trusted explicitly. We were told to "booster" the dogs immediately. Our dogs (a beagle & 2 shepard / husky mixes (around 7 years old each) were all previously vaccinated religiously by township rules & our stupidity of putting money into the pockets of the drug companies. By the time we returned home, none of our dogs could walk without limping. 2 recovered within 3 weeks & the 3rd dog (Rita) never did. Within a week, we had seen 8 different doctors throughout the state of NJ & paid out thousands of dollars in medical bills. 8 days following the shot Rita's leg was amputated & she was diagnosed with Osteo-Sarcoma. 4 of the doctors said that it wasn't related & 4 admitted that they do not vaccinate their own dogs due to complications from a word we'd never heard of "VACCINOSIS" the introduction of a foreign protein sent her immune system into a cascade effect & she was terminal from that point on. She was euthanized 2 1/2 months later & our lives were changed forever. Ask yourself a question: when you were a child, "how many polio or rubella, shots were you given?" If you went & had a blood test today (35 years later) you would still have polio antibodies in your blood. These requirements for multiple vaccinations are the work of the DRUG COMPANIES. They've bribed our political leaders into creating legislation which will force animal owners into trips to the VETS office to sell more of their vaccines. These veternarians are brainwashed (MONEY TALKS) into talking patients into unnecessary vaccinations for animals because it lines their pockets. Vaccinations have their purpose, but they are overused & abused for the profit of the drug companies. Veternarians also know that with the frequent use of vaccines that at some point in the animals life, there is a significant chance for disease introduction in the animal which in turn brings more money into their establishments.
