BODHI TOYS !

[Editor's note: After seeing this thread on the internet, Bodhi Toys contacted me asking to be put in contact with Hendrix's Mom to see if Bodhi Toys could make her a satisfied customer. I did so, and I have been notified that Hendrix's Mom is now happy with the resolution.
Bodhi Toys should be applauded for being such a customer oriented company.
The problem was with the toy store salesperson who made a very poor recommendation. No toy is indestructible and a very large dog who takes his or her toy destruction seriously ought to be given a hard bone, and not any stuffed animal.
I have personally examined Bodhi Toys and find them to be of the highest quality.]

Today Ray and I stopped at a privatly owned animal shop in Chicago. We told them that Hendrix loves stuff animals, but they never last. She showed me the Bodhi toy. Ray and I looked at it and thought it would be perfect for Hendrix. The price tag was a bit much, $20, but we thought, we've been spending so much on crappy toys that last a week, it's time to buy a quality toy and be done with purchasing more.

We bring the Bodhi toy home, I'm not kidding, 2 minutes and some 30 seconds later, IT'S RIPPED APART! I could not believe it!

I left a voicemail at the store for a refund and have written the company. I can't believe the $3 toys lasted longer then this $20 toy! Absolutly ridiculous!

I'm writing to you all to warn you of the terrible product. I'll let you know how the followups with the store and Bodhi company go.

How weird that she'd recommend those for durability. The whole deal behind Bodhi is "toys that look good in your home." No toy looks good in my home after Clyde's gotten a hold of it! That leads me to believe that those toys might be good for little dogs because they might last? Did the salesperson tell you that it was going to last? I bought Clyde a "Gnawball" at PetSmart, which has a 30 day guarantee that it'll last or you get your money back or a new one. Since Clyde seems to like it, and it usually makes it about 2 weeks, I just keep taking them back. We're on at least our 8th one. Hey, they offered the guarantee!
The sales girl said it was probably the most durable toy on the market. They sell them because they look good? I feel like I've bought into some trendy Paris Hilton toy. Argh...
I've found that rope bones and tennis balls are almost indestructable. Walmart sell tennis balls by the bag. 1 doz for about $10.00. But most of the time when they're playing they'd rather chew on each other! :D
Spike disagrees that tennis balls are indestructable. Apparently he's quite the hard chewer cuz we go through tennis balls like they were candy. :?
Ours go over the seawall (thanks to the upright kid) :( ...but we go save 'em :D !
Sam doesn't chew her tennis balls to shreds, but she has dismembered a few stuffed toys.

Bailey agrees with Spike, we go through 3 or 4 a week. Walgreens sells a pack of 4 for a dollar. We consider that a value in the world of chew toys :D
Hate to tell you this, but there is a difference between the $4 can of Wilson tennis balls and the 20 balls for $5 at Target. Guess which is the more value for money?
At our house, the expensive balls go over the seawall and the cheap balls get stuck in the bushes!

Lol. I think you did, but they do look good. Check some of them out: www.bodhitoys.com I really kind of like the bamboo looking ones and the artsy figures!

Like I said though, no toys look good after a few hours with Clyde so I guess I'll never get one!
Tennis Balls... hmm. Anyone had any problems with the strings coming off?
