| What do you mean taking the puppy early? You mean she would like you to pick it up now? I hope you don't mean pick it up before it is 8 weeks old.
You are taking vacation to bond and settle the pup before going back to work I gather. A good idea. Where do you live and how big of a place do you have? I am not a breeder, nor do I know any; but if you need any more feed back let me know. Since I work from home I have never worried about taking off to adopt a dog. Now if I had to take off to go to another state to pick a dog up, personally I would reconsider buying the dog. I have only bought 1 dog in my life, all others were pound puppies or given to me. And the one I bought I bought because the owners were close by and could help me out with any problems. When Abbi became ill lately and I thought I might lose her I thought about getting another dog, but decided that I would wait. Dogs always seem to find me. And every dog I have ever owned has always chosen me, even the one I bought, Abbi. But that's just my personal experience with dogs and my opinion. Now that I have Abbi I think OES are great dogs, but I feel pretty loyal to border collies, standard poodles, and labadour retrievers. I find the OES owners are a friendly lot. That has to say something for the breed. So if you have a specific question, just post it. We usually answer all post around here, although some do get "buried" or lost in the "list" so to speak. |
