After Monday I'll be gone for a while

I am scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday, 9-20. The Doc is going to, as my Mom puts it, take out the baby bed and put in a playpen. My puter at home is busted, so I will not be able to check in. I will be back probably around the first of October. So no posting after Monday until the first of October.

My main concern is dealing with a big, goofy sheepie while trying to recuperate. Wish me luck with that one.

Ohhh Betsy, I hope your recuperation goes smoothly and easily, we'll miss you and look forward to your return.

As far as the angel :) goes... while they aren't always perfect and forget sometimes, somehow they seem to know you need some easy time.

Joan and I will be thinking about ya!
Good luck with your surgery, and take care of yourself while you heal!!!

Karen :)
Good Luck Betsy, Hope you recover quickly :D
Elissa
Betsy, Take care of yourself and rest up!!! My thoughts are with you on your surgery....

Darcy
Good luck Betsy. The key to rapid recuperation is rest. And lots of it. Follow the doctor's orders. Tell Pud he can get on the bed with you and be next to you, but not on you.
Good luck with your surgery, Betsy. I'll be thinking about you! And definitely use the down time to just rest and relax and heal.
Chris
Good luck with the surgery. I hope you have a speedy recovery!
Good luck on Tuesday, Betsy.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!!!
(Get plenty of rest, let your sheepie assist you for a change of pace)

We'll look forward to hearing from you in early October.

Big sheepie hugs to you! :D
**Sheepie kisses are scientifically proven to speed recovery!** :D :D

Good Luck with your surgery on Tuesday! :)
Good luck Betsy! I'm sure your sheepie will be nothing but help to you in recovering!
I hope you have a speedy recovery... rest is important, but in my experience with 5 major abdominal surgeries so far, the key to ridding yourself of pain quicker and promote healing is to get up and walk as often as you can. It will hurt, but it's important!
And drugs of course.... don't try to be brave about that.... a wonderful tool for after surgery is a pillow. You will want a nice big firm pillow to hold against your tummy in case you need to get up, sneeze, cough, laugh, whatever. It really helps.
Thanks everyone for your well wishes and tips. It will take me forever to catch up on all the posts when I return. Keep it to a minimum, okay?
