Sheepie in Minnesota needs a home!

Here's a good looking old english who's being fostered by another sheepdog owner. Anyone on the board?

He's a cutie in Minnesota!

Does anyone know why so many Sheedogs are listed as "not good with kids?"

I think it's because of the herding thing-- they tend to herd them and end up knocking the kid around. I'm pretty sure it's not because they're vicious or anything, they're just looking for homes with kids bigger than the dog!
Awww....he's cute and I love his story telling! Poor guy doesn't even have a name! 8O
He's gorgeous! SO - which members are in MN???
Chris
OH he is BEAUTIFUL!! What a great looking sweetie of a dog!! I want him! (Don't tell Chummie -- I think she might get insecure  )
He's just too cute for words.
Unfortunately MOESR is absolutely overwhelmed with sheepies right now! I'm going to start volunteering to help ease the strain a little, but my house is not sheepie proof with all of the renovation going on... So as much as I want to (desperatley! I can't wait for my sheepie!) I can't foster or adopt yet  If anyone is interested in volunteering (Western Wisconsinites and eastern Dakotans you can help too!) or adopting one of these adorable sheepies please contact Nancy at Nancyhakala@aol.com or feel free to PM me, and I'll get you in touch with her!

Their overwhelmed with Sheepies? What's the cause? Are the OES listed on Petfinder?
Well.. It's a brand new organization only a few months old, Nancy doesn't have a lot of volunteers yet to help her manage the influx of dogs and applications. As to why all of the sudden we're having so many rescuees, I'm not really sure, there have just been a lot of owner surrenders in my area recently.. It doesn't make a lot of sense (but then people giving up their dogs rarely makes sense to me anyways!) She's putting them on petfinder as she has time, but we could really use more foster homes and volunteers up here! We're also going to try to help the hurricane refugees that are headed up our way with their pets (I beleive there is a couple hundred headed up to a military camp here in MN). Busy, busy!

Karen :)
WOW! I wish I could help, but I'm down in IL. Keep us all posted with OES on the boards!

UPDATE -- Looks like the Puppy in Minnesota is on hold for someone! I hope the join the boards if the adoption goes through!
