A Good Katrina Story

While escorting a news journalist around in Mississippi, my husband quickly did a u-turn on a road and yelled out the window "OES RESCUE"! My husband said that the man started laughing. Told my husband that FEMA & Red Cross hadn't found him but that OES had. The man owns Boomer. Boomer is an OES and a beautiful one. The man told my husband that he hasn't had anything to do but brush Boomer. If someone will tell me how, I have a picture of Boomer & his owner in Waveland MS. Boomer's dad has lost everything (his car & his home) but we are happy to report that Boomer is alive and well. So if anyone knows Boomer from Waveland - he is absolutely fine and well.

Good job! Great news! :clappurple:
Oh happy day! :clappurple: Let's hope and pray that we start hearing more good stories like this!

It's great to hear some "good" news. It's hard to imagine that a story involving someone losing all of his posessions is somehow a good story... but it is... sorta.

Upload the picture(s) to the photo gallery. Instructions are here:

After approval, follow the directions "how to post on the forum".
There are a lot of words in those posts, but it's because it is a step by step, click by click instruction. It's easier than it seems.

Thanks!
Finally! Some good news! :)
I uploaded Boomer & his owner's photo and a photo of where my husband found them in Waveland.

Beautiful dog! All that brushing his owner's been doing is obvious, too! :D

I hope that wasn't their home that was demolished in the photo. :(
Boomer is gorgeous, and his owner still manages to look happy with all that devastation around him. God bless them both!
Chris
he may have lost his posessions, and have to start all over, but he's alive and looks in good shape and.........he still has his boy with him

it is nice to be seeing some good news from there
I love this story! :D I love that this community is so fantastic and is even yelling out of trucks in disasters to help each other out! :D BRAVO! :clappurple:

Boomer looks like just a baby too! But hasn't lost his smile!

You know a serious dog lover when he's lost everything, but still managed to hold onto his dog's brush!
Yea what a great story. :D
