Gulf members, stay safe and heed the hurricane evacuations.
We're 4 hours inland, and we're already under a flash flood watch and a tropical storm watch. I'm seriously hoping this storm doesn't hit New Orleans head on. I don't even want to think about the damage it could cause there. As much as I don't want Biloxi to see another "Camille", at least they have the advantage of being at sea level unlike New Orleans.  Would it be too much to wish that this storm would do a 180 and head back out to sea?? |

| I just hope everyone gets OUT of that area.... a category 5 hurricane is nothing to try to be brave about... apparently some people aren't leaving. |
| I have a daughter who lives right on the cost of Mobil. They are under manditory leaving the area. Please pray for her and her 2 children.

| Been watching TV. All phones are down and so are the cells. I have not been able to get through to my daughter and children. As I had said she lives 1 mile from the coast of Mobil. The water is up to 4 feet on the main ST.
I hope she got out. I pray for ALL who are in the path of the storm. An oil rig broke loose, boy this is bad.  |

| Such sadness. Makes you stop and think how lucky you are, and about the "important" things in life. Everyone should pray that God grants them all a speedy recovery from such a horrible experience. And, thank Him as well, for our blessings. As bad as it is, it could've been worse.
They will be having a special on CNN Sat. about what we can do to help. The first thing is pray. The second is to stand together as a nation, and the rest, CNN can inform us of. |
