The sheep to go with the sheepdog? I'm not keen on terrier personality, tho just last night my husband and I were saying when we are both too old for big dogs, we'd like a little terrier. Problem is..........he's already old and I'm half old.  |
| That is one dog I can't stand the look of, that long funny looking head... why did people do that? LOL
I love cairn terriers, jack russels are cute but too hyper for me, and yorkies are cute but I'd always be afraid it would get stepped on. |
One of my daughters love Bedlington's, she also loves Bichon's....One loves Chihauhau's and Chinese Crested  , and the other really is not a dog person but she wont admit it  . My son is still young and with Avalon nipping he isnt too sure about dogs either
My fave has always been sheepdogs...even since I was about 15...only took me 28 years to get my dream...and she is a holy terror! LOL! If I had to get a smaller breed, I'd pick Soft Coated Wheaton or Tibetan Terrier. (I like Fluffy dogs!...Fluffy cats too but kids have allergies...I'd really LOVE a Maine Coon cat...sigh) |

I just showed Isabel the link....she was totally grossed out! She said maybe she will stick with chihuahua's....but even those she is re-thinking...someone on our street has 2 and they are NOT nice dogs. Kids cant even pet them...they bite. Even the vet today told her they are not as nice as sheepies  The vet used to breed sheepies(about 60 years ago)...so he's a bit partial
Isabel wants to be a vet...she LOVES when I have to take the dogs into the vets office. The vet keeps telling her to get good grades and he will hire her LOL...Isabel is 9 years old...lots of time before she has to get a job! |

omg - poor sam looks like the character from" tales of the crypt" - he's cute.... sorta.
as for the terrier - cuttte - i did consider one of those larger terriers (airdales, kerry blue) but how can you not resist a sheepie?  |
| There's a Welsh Terrier that comes to the dog park that is sooo cute. He looks like he's floating when he runs. He's like a little shrunken Airdale! |
