Momo hasn't killed me yet

I'm alive. Momo and I are doing pretty good - she's all done with her spay and shots and weighs 41 lbs. :D I'm still praying for her to be a smaller girl - for my neck's sake - but I'll love her even if she's 100 lbs... but you know... I'm not so sure if she is 101 lbs... I might have to reconsider then... jk.

Kiley is still in love with Momo - and she loves him too. She even shares her food with him... even the wet food she covets so much. Halifax is getting a little bit more brave with her - and giving her a good slap when she is getting a bit too excited with him. Tigger still hates everyone.

My classes are nicely placed for getting my almost worthless degree this year (liberal studies). After this I plan on taking pre-requisites for Vetrinary school and spending time at the vets office and a pound - to see if this is something I really want to do.

I love all three of my muffins though - and they are making this time of stress a lot less stressful. :D Brad has been batting around the idea of getting another cat - I was thinking of another dog... but with Momo being a puppy... I must be crazy. I was thinking something MUCH smaller this time (because I know I can't walk two big dogs on my own) - that way we have room to move around with Momo too. Brad wants to get another fluffy cat though... and that wouldn't bother me too much. Maybe a girl this time? :P I think we need to get out on our own first though - before we go crazy and get another pet hehe.

That's about all that's happened though - (of course leaving out the boring and sometimes irritating details) :D I miss you guys - I hope I get the internet back at my house soon.

Good to hear from you Integra! Sounds like Momo is getting big, any new pics we can see? Really though, if she is 41 lbs now she won't likely end up being a 100 lb dog... maybe more like 50-60 (I forget how old she is now)
Hope to hear from you again soon! :)
Nice to know you're alive! Sounds like things are going well for you, too. Glad you had a good summer. Ditto to Stacey's request for more photos! We'd love to see Momo again! :D
INTEGRA!!!!!! I missed you and Momo! PICTURES!!! umm.. please?

Karen :)
Momo will be 7 months old at the end of this month. :D I've got pictures of her in two other stages on my memory stick... just need to find it first. 8O

I'm not sure if I took a pic after we shaved her or not... but I did get a couple of her when she was a fluffy babe. Oh! And she is also a dark gray/silver mix with her coat... I think she might lose the dark gray though.

Since we moved we've had a serious prob with fleas and ticks (with everyone). They live outside and then bounce on Tigs and Momo. We can't put poison outside around where she plays and the flea meds are falling short. We're hoping there will be some relief come this fall and winter. (Ack - I told you guys a boring detail) hehe
WE WONDERED WHERE YOU"D GONE TOOOOOOO!!!!!! :D
Welcome back!!!
Integra...where are you in SC? We are in Charleston...dying to introduce our little Sophie to another OES!
SCSheepie: We are headed to Edisto next week!!!! We almost almost always make it to Charleston but this year we are making a "short trip". My family lives on Edisto. Integra lives on Beaufort!!! Maybe one of these years we can have a Lowcountry get together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup - I live in Beaufort. :D My brother is about to move to Charleston this week so I might have more reasons to go up there. Even though the german bakery seems like enough insentive. :P Momo would probably freak at the possiblity of meeting a new doggy friend.
Glad to hear you're still around! Can't wait to see new pics of Momo. Enjoy your semester at school.
Welcome back Integra/Momo. Glad to hear all is well. Yes you can walk too big dogs. Barney and Maggie are both about 80 lbs. Several weeks ago I began working with a trainer. Before that I had all I could do to walk them together. After one week I began walking them on loose leashes hung over my shoulders. I still can't believe it. ( Maggie has the same mother as Barney (Shag) but different father (Reggie). She is a rescue, will be 2 in Sept.)

Good luck in your studies. My BA is in liberal arts - majors Philosophy & Education, Minors Math & Physics. I think liberal arts would be a good background for a potential Vet.

Have you heard from Lorie D.

Lol. George, you can walk two big dogs because you have skills! You've got your training down pat and your dogs respect you. You should see me walking Clyde and Lucy into the dog park. They weigh more than me together and, add the excitement factor, well, it's a sad sight! I seriously admire you!
Stacy,
Walking is one thing; I didn't say anything about when they see the lady across the street who they both love, or the golden retriever who they both hate. Where still working on that! :D
I'm Jill! :P
aww- i read your story about momo - I can relate to it.. london has huggge paws and one time he accidently hit my eye - so playful - yet so strong.
i took him to the this morning and he's almost 4 months and weighs 30.. *eep* will he reach the 100 lb mark? :)
Clyde weighed almost 30 pounds at 12 weeks. Now, at 11 months, he's between 85 and 90-- and still growing. People think he's a lot bigger than that because of the fur!
Opps :( (It's h... when you get old) :D
I know George, I feel it every day. I had my big one this year.

I should have said why I can't hehe. I have a bad neck and back and (I'm old even though I'm not) and just walking her with just a little pulling hurts me sometimes. :? even at 41 lbs. If I had a smaller pup with Momo it wouldn't kill me - but she is enough for me to handle.

Yeah, they are pretty strong (ungodly strong) dogs. She hasn't stabbed me in the eye again - thank goodness - but I always watch out for something new.

Side notes:

I make noises at her now - which she finds fun. I say "MOOOOOOOO!" (like the cow) and she always runs for me. She also thinks "No!" is another of her names. She also runs in circles around me while we walk. She used to chomp my legs and rear but I taught her really quickly what I thought of that.
LOL... She sounds like so much fun!
