I don't have speakers hooked up to this pc so I can't hear.  I LOVE African Grays though. We *almost* bought one before we had kids, but we were afraid our schnauzer would hurt it. We thought about buying one after Jake was born, but we didn't have the proper time to spend with it like we should. I really see us getting one in a few years when the boys are older. Birds are such cool pets, I miss having one around! |

My sister has an African Grey and they really are the smartest things! He's adorable, but as Mouthypf mentions in a separate thread, they do bond to one person. My Sis got him as a baby and hand fed him, so he's very bonded to her. He tolerates my BIL and niece. 
Recently, though, I heard a local news story about a Grey that got out of the house and the owners were frantically looking for it. Not sure how far away he was, but it was definitely out of their yard. The bird saw the family dog, called him to her and climbed up on the dogs back and rode home. It was sooooo cool!! |
